Small-town restaurants can’t afford to be like this. This, meaning I ordered the lamb shanks because my friend had them last time, and they looked delicious. Partly because they were served with an ample amount of gravy. Well, not today. My friend has them again too, and I said would it be too much to ask for the same amount of gravy you had last time? She thought not. So we asked the lovely young waitress what she thought. She said she would bear the brunt of their anger if we did ask for gravy, so we said please don’t. She said, oh no, I’ll ask. We waited fifteen minutes, food cold by then of course, still no gravy. But meanwhile, the table next to us was served an order of lamb shanks…with a brimming jug of gravy. Passive aggressive? Are we Karens? Our waitress came back and said her absent boss was now aware we’d asked for gravy, and she’d been told it was up to her, the waitress, to make it right. Is this out the gate? Took my mum out for mother's day yesterday, she was excited to try their chicken salad. Part of some chicken bits were still raw, the avocado slices were black and some of her salad you could tell had already passed it's use by date! My partner got the lamb shank and his food was cold, you can tell the food is not made fresh at all and is probably micro-waved to heat up. We didn't want to waste time and complain so we left after 20 minutes after just finishing our drinks. Not happy at all, traveled a fair way to take her out as I remember this restaurant back in my high school days being amazing, don't know if there's new owners/chefs now or what. One star is still too much for this place. This is the place where I will say - don't go there if you don't want to spend the rest of your day with your lovely toilet! That was what happened when we stopped here for lunch. We had the Thai chicken green curry with rice. After the meal, we had to spend the rest of our day in our bathrooms. The food was okay, however it might be the ingredients they used were no more fresh. Not sure, however will definitely not coming back! Where's the cafe and restaurant inspectors?!
