An Unforgettable Wedding Experience at Crab Farm!
We recently had our wedding at Crab Farm, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable. The team at Crab Farm went above and beyond to cater to every detail of our special day, making the planning effortless and ensuring everything unfolded exactly as we envisioned.
One of the standout aspects of our experience was how accommodating and easygoing the team was. They listened to our ideas, offered helpful suggestions, and worked with us every step of the way to bring our vision to life. Whether it was coordinating the setup, fine-tuning the details, or adjusting to last-minute changes, nothing ever felt like too much trouble for them. Their professionalism and warmth made the entire process not just smooth but truly enjoyable.
Beyond the impeccable service, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. The rustic charm, beautiful surroundings, and relaxed atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for our wedding. We’ve received so much incredible feedback from our guests about how amazing the venue was—many of them mentioning how unique and inviting the space felt.
Another huge bonus was how affordable everything was. For the level of service, attention to detail, and the overall experience we had, Crab Farm offers outstanding value. We felt like we got everything we could have hoped for (and more) without breaking the bank.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue that is stunning, stress-free, and exceptionally well-run, we wholeheartedly recommend Crab Farm. It was truly the perfect place for our big day, and we can’t thank them enough for making it so special!

Read moreWould love to rate this place higher, but unfortunately I just can't. Great venue for sure. Outdoor seating is definitely pleasant on a hot Hawkes Bay summer evening, however we noticed the outdoor seating had a lot of ants crawling all over the table. We brought this to the attention of one of the staff, and he brought a cloth and table spray to attempt to mend the issue. This was good, and they seemed to disappear for a while. We ordered the bread and dip platter as an entree, which was nice and had good variety however we did find a hair in one of the dips. Main course was very nice, we did however order two steamed greens dishes. Someone had keyed in the wrong dish into the register apparently, and they brought out two incorrect salads. This added an extra 15 minute wait time for the corrected salads to emerge. One of our meals was also delayed quite a while, and we were at least halfway through our other dishes when it came out. Dessert was very nice, no complaints on that one. Overall, the setting of this place is lovely, and the food was delicious. Just a couple of points that broke the experience for us on...
Read moreWe stayed at a lovely Airbnb literally across the street from this fabulous, funky winery. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we arrived 20 minutes before closing, but, we did not feel rushed or uncomfortable. It was a lovely experience. The decor was bohemian, the wood dark with lots of enclaves and benches hidden among flowers and vines. The vibe was super cool—and the wine was great. We purchased two bottles: A Sauvignon Blanc, which we really liked. It was inexpensive, vibrant, wonderfully bone-dry, and mouth filling. We also bought an amazing Pinot Noir, fragrant, plum, and softly tannin–which I always call ‘The Pinot Pop’, a taste that I love and associate with Pinot; but, a term which no wine person knows or understands. Napier is in Hawkes Bay Wine Region, and has been well known for years as a major wine player on the world market. It is the largest producer of apples, pears, and stone fruit in New Zealand; and is now the second largest wine producer in New Zealand after...
