Snapper Cafe — Restaurant in Napier

We as a group regularly meet at Snapper Park for Sunday coffee and food. This Sunday the service was appalling. Food as in scrambled eggs and chips were served cold. Toasted sandwiches if a gentle breeze blew would have disappeared off the plate. They were thin dry with 1 slice of shaved ham. Pineapple was off the menue as they had to open another tin. Fortunately they saw the light. 1 of our group never received his pie order. The staff then proceeded to argue with him that it had been delivered but no one claimed it. 12 of us never saw it arrive. Really nice place of business and outdoor seating to enjoy a meal...but when we went to their cafe was not impressed by the looks of other customers and that the service was pretty much just okay, they were busyish at the time so it was a bit hectic...I just don't think they exactly had the patience for us so much...just didn't get such a great vibe from the place. A nice little out of the way cafe. Busy and a bit cramped inside, but tasty food, hot coffee and friendly staff. A little pricey but in line with local standards. Close to the beach, parking is a bit on the thin side. Very popular with cyclists. Some cycle parking available. There are three clean modern toilets, one of which is wheelchair access.
