To start, we shared the Confit Mushroom with black garlic, sour cream, and dukkah. It was absolutely delicious and perfect for sharing.
For the main, we had the Angus Ribeye with chimichurri and jus, accompanied by sides of caramelized carrots, courgettes, and grilled sweetcorn. While the steak was tender and had a unique smoked flavor, the real stars were the vegetables. The carrots and sweetcorn, in particular, were extraordinarily delicious—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
We highly recommend ordering a variety of sides—you’ll fall in love with every bite!
To finish, we shared the Chocolate Parfait, which was rich and delightful. If the main course hadn’t been so exceptional, the dessert would have stood out even more. That said, every dish was executed at such a high level of culinary expertise that there’s truly nothing to critique.
The classy atmosphere, attentive service, and outstanding food made this a wonderful culinary experience. We highly recommend visiting The Brick Eatery for a meal that will stay with you long...
Read moreVisited for morning scones and coffee on Wednesday 2 October 2024 with two friends. A very cheerful and friendly waitress, who let us choose a table in the middle of the window seat area. Soon after the Eatery became quite busy. The scones were fab, cheese and rocket and slightly toasted. Really tasty. Also good hot coffee.
The only disappointment is the mostly grey decor. It projects a cold unwelcome feel. There is no wall art, ie, pictures or colour of any sort which makes it feel cavernous. There is no Object 'Art, a vase of flowers and absolutely no colour whatsoever. A shame, because some colour or flowers and some soft furnishings of some kind would enhance the eatery considerably. I don't understand why a restaurant such as this, decorated it in such dull and cold grey with black tables. Colour enhances warmth and a welcoming feeling but most people are frightened of colour yet it makes for a good...
Read moreThis review is an independent review not a Local Guide Review. We booked for a table of 12 people for a special birthday. We spoke the manager( Andy) when the booking was made ,who said that nothing was a problem. We could have canapés and cocktails outside but couldn't use the area by the outside fire as it was booked by another party, he agreed we could decorate the table we would dine at. When we arrived he was rude and reluctant to let the table be decorated. There was no one in the fireplace area and it didn't appear to be lit. His wait staff Josh and Dove were excellent . The food was excellent too, During the evening the manager made a couple of appearances at the table and was abrupt and sloppy with his serving. Would we go back there, Sadly NO . Would we tell our friends. YES. We would suggest this is not a good place for an enjoyable group booking. Kevin, Rustica and...
