Mel and Ma were lovely today. It was raining. It was cold. The boys had just finished a hike and I knew they would appreciate some hot food and baked goods. This place was just the ticket. The girls were sheltering in their truck and jumped out as we approached (even offered for us to stand inside out of the rain👍🙂). I came through on a weekday while hiking around the mountain a few days in. I had two pies, steak and cheese & butter Chicken. Paid $8 a pie. Usually I'd scoff at paying that much for pies. But honestly was some of the best meat pies I've eaten, and I'm a kiwi. Two pies and a fizzy can, or a pie, sausage roll and fizzy will cost around $20. And for a hungry hiker, I had a filling meal and great experience. Also the lady server was lovely....

THE BEST FLAT WHITE EVER!!!! Milk foam was perfect! No bubbles!!!! Just the right amount of milk. Smooth and creamy, just what I wanted.
