I had just arrived in TÄupo in the evening, coming from Rotorua, tired after a long day, and hungry after not having had time to eat all day I hence had to make a good choice for my dinner I saw that restaurant when passing by, it caught my attention, I checked its reviews and was confident about it... Knowing how Indian food can be spicy, I asked them if they had non spicy options. I was recommended mild butter chicken, and so I went for it... good move! It was yummy, came with raisin (dried fruits) too, nice surprise As a side I had garlic cheese naan, there was a lot And as a drink I asked for another Indian classic, mango lassi I fell well full after this (and remember I hadn't eaten all day), with yummy food (and having lived in India for 5 months I had expectations) Oh and staff members are well friendly, we talked about my time in India, cool people Comfy seats And some Indian paintings on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered from here a little while ago but haven't got to writing a review till now. Wasn't a fantastic experience. I placed an online order for my food to be delivered at 6:45. They were almost an hour late. They then called me to tell me that their eftpos machine wasn't working and if I had cash. I said yes but only have notes I didn't have the exact amount (it was $57 and I had $60). When they finally got to my house they told me they have no coins for change only a $5 note which they won't give me because it is too much. Usually I am happy to tip but since the service was so horrible, I wasn't as happy. This restaurant used to be incredible but I don't know what happened. I was quite upset about the service because I would recommend this place to everyone. Food still tasted nice but I won't be coming back or recommending until the service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is fantastic! If you're in Taupo give it a go!The vibe is friendly and low key. The music is upbeat and a perfect volume - not overbearingly loud and not too quiet. The staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful- they're an absolute delight. Most of the other places in Taupo are overcrowded and often overpriced - presumably due to being a common tourist spot.
This place is excellent value for money - and legitimately the best curry I have ever had! (and I'm from Wellington - there is tons of food there hahah) The outside looks pretty low key - but when you go inside its beautifully set up. Their serving dishes when you eat in are so unique (in a good way).
I also noticed during my time there that they seemed to have a lot of regular/repeat customers. I think that says a lot about their quality, consistency, and generally...
