Café at The Complex — Restaurant in South Island

I found this driving thru timaru ive stopped several times now on my travels. I stopped today on Saturday labour weekend and plenty of people here, it's a good place to stop esp those with children as there is an outside.seating area and this is where most families head to after theyve given there food orders. The staff ultra friendly and I don't mind the wait if they've a few orders to process as its so good when I get it. The iced chocolate a winner every time. I'm restricted by diet through cancer trying a lot of the cabinet food but it looks amazing and I'm very happy with the toasted sandwiches and what I can eat. These guys pull shots from Havana in Wellington. The roast they use is a cafe exclusive ie: not available in supermarket etc. It is a darker roast so works well with most espresso drinks. Even if you prefer lighter roasts this is better than any mainstream "chain" cafe's. Really friendly staff and passionate about coffee. Perfect spot for a caffeine topup. The food looked exceptional, only giving 4 stars for that though as I didn't get a chance to eat there yet.
