Soo my mama and I went to maccas as a treat.. And I'll be honest it wasn't really, when we were ordering at the digital menu thing a staff member just kept popping up like an unwanted ad... She came over and said hello very nicely but awfully close and abrupt, then we had an error with our payment so immeadietly she popped up without us even asking or saying anything and she told us to go to the counter cause "it's just easier"... I love how McDonald's is trying to step up their standards but I think maybe don't the food is already ok and the service is alright... Like is maccas I don't think anyone comes here for the service to be honest, again the same staff member kept invading people's space a lot, she'd come up very close to people and I'm not a person who likes people I don't know very close to me.. Its just not something I can deal with a lot of the time... The food was great though, the woman at the counter was very nice and calm it was quite refreshing... My mama and I kept seeing the first staff member just doing all these little odd things and at the end we were like omg that was weird.. And kinda creepy but we had a giggle and ate our food so we're happy... However the woman behind the mccafe counter arguing with her colleague was not appreciated, I found it a tad annoying how she wouldn't stop snapping at her co-worker, it was a bit sad.. I felt bad and I wanted to say something but my opinion wouldn't...
Read moreMy friend and I went to McDonald's in Ravenswood on Monday 17th July at 7.15pm. Walked in used the ordering machine. Wouldn't print a receipt, kept saying error. Stood there after ordering by machine waiting waiting waiting waiting. No one else inside waiting or ordering. The staff were not busy serving any one except the odd car via drive thru. One female spoke to say she would be there soon. Another female looked at us and walked away. Then she came back a few minutes later and said I will be there to take our order soon. I replied I had ordered by machine. Reply was oh order 104. When we got our order it we both felt like it was an inconvenience to serve us. Rude, no eye contact, no hello, no thankyou and no smiles from anyone working in the place. I live less than 5 minutes away from Ravenswood and the 2 apple pies were only just warm with no date of best before or use by. It will take a lot for me to ever go back to McDonald's. Times are tough for people so you need to sort your staff out. Teach them the value of good customer...
Read moreI'm adding this review to highlight the amazing customer service I received from Jack a week or so ago.
I was doing a large order on the kiosk, and was struggling with some weird UI choices (to modify an already added order item, you have to click Place Order, this is not very discoverable...). Jack was cleaning, but saw me frowning, and popped over to see if he could help me. He showed me how to do the Place Order thing, and I continued onwards.
When my order came out, he offered to help me carry it out to my car, which I gratefully accepted, and he carried out six drinks without spilling a single drop, like a boss.
Turns out, his friendliness and strong customer focus is well known already by my teenage sons and their friends, as when I mentioned how pleasantly surprised by the service I was, my son immediately said "I bet it was Jack, all my friends love Jack".
It was indeed Jack, so keep it up mate, hope they...
