went to pick up my food, missing one and then one random customer walked back and returned my food not belong to them..

so i told the staff pls re-make the meal for me. hopefully they have been honest and re-made the food, rather than re-heated the food after 10mins (although i have no evidence of it but i used to work in a few restaurants before so i knew whats going in the back kitchen, perhaps i should take a photo of the second hand food before i request for re-make)

and this last piece of pizza left over is because we found hair in it, since we picked up from the counter.

overall uncomfortable experience and im concerned with the...

This eatery was one of the few options in the hotel (and the village for that matter). You could get a spectacular view of Mount Cook and it’s surroundings (when the weather is good) when you sit at the sofas and chill with a nice coffee or beer. The cafe was kids friendly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Pricing was slightly more expensive than the usual cafes around New Zealand (but that’s expected, given the limited options around). Food was quite good in my opinion.

As I didn’t want to have a buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant, I bought some pizzas and cakes from this cafe for dinner as well. But be mindful that it would...

The food looked good but tasted a bit interesting…

The prices told me that I was broke in 10 different languages.

The muffin tasted decent but seemed like it was baked a while ago.

The pizza had interesting flavour profiles and combinations. Personally I’m not a fan of the mix of sweet and savoury, more of a savoury pizza person.

The porky pie had some sort of apples inside with the pork with a pork crackling top. It was okay but again not a mix of the sweet and savoury combo.

Overall, it was okay but a bit on the pricey side. Not too many choices so I guess it’s understandable as it’s pretty much in the...

We spent a couple of hours here. ( Me and kids). The food was decent but not fantastic, and the items in general were quite pricey (then again its a hotel within the reserve so thats to be expected) Service was okay, 4 stars overall taking into account the spectacular view, location, bathroom, kids play area and general food quality, but I would say get a simple meal and drink and have it outside to get the best of the place. No single pizza slices available. Long but fast moving lines. Rough prices for what I ordered were: Small beer 13 Drinks 7 Fries 9 Paninis and rolls 10-13

The restaurant is quite large, and is rather loud and standardly furnished. The Fish and Chips was fine, though the coleslaw had a slight bitter taste as the ends of the cabbages were in it. The portion of fish was slightly less than usual. The Margherita pizza was unsatisfactory. The lack of basil and a good crust holds the pizza back a lot, and the green sauce does not compensate anything to the dish. Overall, if you are not cooking on Aoraki and want a hot meal, this place will do, but don't expect amazing quality of food.
