From the moment we walked into The General Kitchen & Bar, we were met with such warmth and genuine hospitality—it instantly set the tone for a perfect dining experience. The service was absolutely impeccable; the staff especially Selma were attentive, kind, and made us feel so welcomed without ever being overbearing.

Now the food… wow. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into each plate. From start to finish, everything was cooked to perfection and thoughtfully balanced. It’s rare to find a place where both the service and the food are equally phenomenal, but they nailed it on every level. One of the highlights was their recommend Mulled Wine, Fabulous 🍷

I went here for the first time recently and was so impressed by everything! I went with no expectations and left with a new favourite spot that I already can’t wait to go back to. We ordered most of the menu to share and try a bit of everything and every single thing we ordered was delicious - the food is so elevated and fresh and cooked to perfection. We were served by manager Johnny who was an absolute gem, cannot fault the 10/10 customer service - he made us feel super welcome and we really appreciated the care and attention from the moment we walked in until it was time to leave. I’ve already told all my friends to give this place a try. Went for lunch with a few friends, and I can’t speak more highly of this place. The baked Brie was incredible, a great way to start off. We followed that with a couple of Peroni pints, the fish tacos, and the fish and chips, which really hit the spot. Just what the doctor ordered. Atmosphere is really cozy, clean and inviting. We were nestled in the corner on the sofa next to a fireplace and felt right at home. The patio is beautiful as well, with full sun and mountain views. Lastly the service was next to none. Johnny looked after us and really made our day. His service and attention to detail is of the highest order. Matt rocked it in the kitchen as well serving up delicious plates.
