McDonald's Kaitaia — Restaurant in Te Hiku Community

The most horrible service I have ever had at a McDonalds. The manager, or supervisor was loud and rude. A man brought forward his drink and asked that it be changed to diet coke, as they had given him regular coke. The woman lifted off the lid, put her nose in, sniffed, the replaced the lid and handed it back to him and insisted it was diet coke.

After waiting 10 minutes for my order, I was given the wrong order, then made to pay extra for the items the staff that served me had missed off. 10 minutes later when I was handed my amended order, it was still wrong. By this point I had given up on caring and no longer wanted to look at the woman serving me as she was eating, had food in her mouth and love bites all over her neck with no attempt to conceal them or the food thrashing around in her mouth.

I really do hope the staff were just having an extra bad day and had let their standards slip, but, looking at the reviews I doubt this is the case.

Today Monday 3rd of June, myself partner and family dined in, A young pakeha guy who took our order was both polite and prompt with our food, other staff however had us disgusted in the way they treated this young bloke, as he was yelled at in the front of house where all customers were eating, then ordered to clean below the counters whilst doing this he was then ordered to collect trays.. while wiping trays he was then ordered to get chips, all the while we witnessed FOUR other workers standing around doing nothing! In our opinion, he in lamer terms was treated like a bumboy which had us very upset! Lack of respect was showen him. Both rude and very unprofessional. Site managers should be reviewed at this restaraunt. Very disgusted in the other workers yous...

Tonight was just ridiculous! Sure, it was busy. But we waited for 29 minutes (time of transaction until handing us over the food) for a simple order of two burgers, two sides of fries and a drink.

Some people who ordered significantly later would get their food way earlier while others had to wait for similar times like us.

All that waiting just so we could "enjoy" our cold fries and burgers. I always thought we had the worst customer experience in our hometown in Germany. But this shop here in Kaitaia really raised the bar for being the worst.

All other McDonald's shops around NZ I know so far are flawless compared to this. Overall an upsetting and...
