KFC Alexandra — Restaurant in Vincent Community

Would put lower rating if I could. The store was virtually out of everything. No chips, no aioli, no popcorn chicken, and no lettuce. Instead of chips, we got given some pathetic, soggy little things of bread, and a minuscule thing of potato and gravy. When we asked for more than that to replace the missing chips, we were told there was no popcorn chicken as well. There was no aioli for the aioli wrap we bought, so they gave us two pottles of garlic aioli on the side. When we got home, we discovered none of our meals had lettuce, something we weren’t even told in store. The workers were all school workers, and clearly stressed and therefore a bit grumpy, which is understandable when they are out of so many items and ingredients, and customers getting angry. Total disgrace you would be better off closing the shop than expect some no hopers to turn up to collect their paycheck for doing nothing. Got to the counter was asked do you have cash ? I said no eftpos, was told rather sternly use the app. No one showed me how to use it but eventually i figured it out, then watched them throw my meal into a bag. I ordered a tower burger, chips, potato and gravy with a 6 piece bucket. They can't count cos I only got 5 pieces chicken, to late when I got home to Cromwell. Dirty filthy shop, staff who have a bad attitude and don't want to be there, no pride in their job they are better off at home on the dole. Due to the persistent rumour that this KFC is the worst in New Zealand, I'm always willing to give it another try as it’s convenient on my drive home to Wanaka but I no longer will be. Unfortunately, they consistently live up to their reputation. You either communicate poorly through the drive-through microphone, are greeted by unfriendly workers who lack training and are unfamiliar with the menu options, or food items are frequently forgotten or aren't available (eg coleslaw at peak hour or water bottles including on tap.)
