Great Flavours of India- Putaruru — Restaurant in Waikato

What an amazing dinner we had here. This is the first time I have stayed at Putaruru and our motel was opposite this lovely restaurant. Our server/manager/order taker/barman was Sujan. He was so very friendly and lovely. He was courteous and helpful. I had the buffet and my wife had some Indo-Chinese noodles. The buffet was amazing. Good quality food and very tasty too. There was chicken chilly, veg fried rice, butter chicken (a bit too sweet for my taste), Punjabi chicken, lamb masala, vegetable stir fry, papadum, pickles and garlic naan. We have come to expect fabulous service from the owner, Milan, who used to work at a restaurant elsewhere. We came to have lunch at Great Tastes of India specially to see him. We were not surprised that he remembered exactly which dishes we usually order as well as our drinks order. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. If someone is looking for authentic Indian cuisine then this is the right place.

We ordered Mango Lassi, Butter Paneer Masala, mixed paratha, Raita, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti and Rasmalai. Each and every dish was perfectly cooked and tasty.

Both Sujan and Chef was very friendly and positive.

The place was nice and tidy.

10/10 and must try restaurant if someone travel between waitomo cave...
