The food has room for improvement. They lack a good customer service flow and their communication skills and transparency whenever I have dealt with them has been deeply disappointing.
In the last two visits I was told the food would be ready in 20 minutes. I went off and came back between 20-30 minutes expecting the food to be boxed up and in the heated area. I sent my daughter in to pick the food up, she waited more than 10 -15 minutes and they were serving new customers that entered after her and left before her. To clarify these customers were entering the shop after my daughter went in, placed their order and then received their order and leave. I was observing this from my car along with my son and after around three customers leaving I went in and asked why is our order was still not ready (we had paid over 30 minutes ago)and they gave a weak excuse of me not being there so they didn’t want it to get cold, how ever they were cooking every new customers meals while my daughter waited. I said you have taken twice as long as you said it would take and that they had given preference to the later customers taking advantage of a young girl who was waiting patiently for our paid order. Still no apology. They said they were waiting on the chips, yet the chips were being served to customers right there. The chicken deals are also not worth it - they put mostly the small pieces in and also the chips are often cooked in oil that isn’t fresh and often I get small shrivelled over cooked chips. Also they claimed the food was ready, however it wasn’t and we had to wait longer, as stipulated they have the heat lights there were the boxed food can go and nothing had been cooked. So if you are claiming the food was ready where was it when my daughter arrived and you all were serving NEW customers that arrived AFTER she walked in to collect it! Nice try, but be honest.
Yesterday I went in 25 minutes before the store closed and I before I even entered the shop while my daughter was looking at the pricing on the wall outside a worker came out and started taking all signage inside. I went in and asked the price of a 10 piece meal pack and asked if I could swap out the drink and the lady said yes. When I asked for the 10 pack she said they had no chicken and she couldn’t serve it because it was almost time to close. If they shut at a certain hour they should stipulate that they won’t serve chicken half a hour before closing. I suggested they should close shop earlier and not advertise its closure time for 25 minutes into the future if they won’t serve chicken. I ended up going to Seasons also on Swanson near Larnoch Ave. The customer service was much easier and transparent. Seasons is now my preference and their servings are also more preferred for my family. I will never return to Mamaris and I won’t ever recommend them. Mamaris - you lost a client and repeat business. I really love supporting local businesses, however I feel they give preference to a certain customer. Sad experience. Also as Muslims it’s crazy that you would sell coke products knowing that coke is a huge supporter of the genocide...
