If I could give something lower than a 5 star review, I would.
My friends and I pre booked for 8 people before arriving. Service was so horrible they could not even get us a good seating area that could accommodate us and cramped us in one corner. One of us sat on the arm of one sofa despite multiple servers and manager passing by us. We had to call the attention of someone to bring a chair.
They have paid multiple influencers all over Instagram to advertise certain special periods but getting there, all of the supposed things promised were lies. We went for the Sunday Brunch Buffet as advertised for 8 people but what was advertised was not even close to what we got. In comparison to even the cups of drinks the influencers were given, what we were given was like a quarter of that size. We weren't even served with the same sizes of food. The influencers lied that we could pack takeaways of the food for free. When we tried it, we paid for the takeaways. They said it was a buffet meal but sadly it was a table for 8 meal and the food wasn't even enough to go round 8 people.
For all the food we were given, we didn't even get water to drink. They gave "cocktails" but here's the catch, the cocktail is literally either fanta or smoov with 80-90% ice and 10% of the actual drink. Each person only has one small cup full of ice and half drink. The food took extremely long to prepare only for it to come out in extremely small and negligible portions. They brought one plate of fried rice and one plate of jollof rice for 8 people to share. Not sure how exactly they thought that would work. The pepper soup was cold and in some small plate. 1 person alone could finish it. They brought 8 slices of plantain as per we're 8 people so each person was expected to eat 1 slice of plantain. There were 8 spring rolls. They served us a dot of ice cream on hot vanilla cake in some funny small plastic cup so the cake obviously melted the ice cream. More than one of the cups they served us in were broken. We had to call the server to take them back and change the cups.
Their customer service is horrible. One of the staff was mopping where we sat with a scented soap. It made some of us nauseous. The floor was not wet or anything. Nothing had poured either. It was obviously some poorly structured eye service. The floor is made of wood. When we're done with a dish, they don't bother clearing the table of the previous dish before bringing the next set of food. Isn't it a regular training at eateries to not mop near where people are eating?
We highlighted these issues to the manager who we had booked with. The man then started avoiding speaking with us. It's obvious the poor service is not a one time occurrence due to their lackadaisical response once we began asking questions and pointing out some of these issues.
I'd suggest they train their staff on proper customer service and restaurant management. The manager is obviously not doing a great job of managing if the staff believe it's okay to serve people with broken utensils. Even when we pointed it out, there was no apology uttered. If anything they were behaving like we were disturbing them. They should rethink their portioning and stop making influencers lie on their behalf. It's better for them to increase the price and let it be that people are getting their money worth than trying to be cheap and ending up offering horrible service. They should close down the branch as a whole if they're not willing to offer quality service or hire...
Read moreI made a reservation. It was the day before my mom's birthday and we were celebrating.
We came in exactly at 3pm. And the staff was so incredibly nice. They took a lot of pictures of my mom. Going up the stairs, coming down the stairs. Even videos.
But the service was slow. I'm sure you're seeing the review and wondering why I rated them 5 stars? We're getting to that.
My mom was hungry. The platters were missing key pieces and they were not ready. The brunch had finished and my mom was upset and rightfully so.
We stood up, our plan to satiate ourselves with food from another restaurant. Then the manager came and gave us profuse apologies. Drinks on the house. Platters were still missing key pieces, brunch was still finished.
But there's a way that people will be so kind to you, so empathetic, so sympathetic, that you won't even remember what you were upset about.
Eventually we got our appetizers, catfish pepper soup, a platter of wings. And a dessert on the house (see?). I got extra water and we eventually went to eat somewhere else but I rated them 5 stars because they really know what it's like to serve. The harp player played happy birthday for my mom. The DJ was playing a variety of happy birthday songs. Even my mom, who is not by any means, a pushover was smiling.
I want to give them a lot of congratulations. They've done well. They've...
