The bad experience from this place outweighs the good, I had a lunch outing with group of friends here, we were welcomed well and the space is really nice. I particularly enjoy the environment. For food, I had a really salty chicken which I don't know if it was a style in cooking but the jollof was just decent, nothing extraordinary. Now the worse experience comes with the bill, I don't know if the staff thinks we're stupid or just think we're not Nigerians and feel we don't care about money, I asked for a menu/price list while trying to order in the early arrival and the attendant was almost acting like he was guessing the amount of what he thinks the price would be which was a red flag and gave me a hint of is he trying to scam me? A place like this with no price list? And we have to ask every amount of what we're getting? We got our orders and I questioned some of my colleagues why their food looked that way for almost 7000 naira for just soup and swallow, they shrugged. Happens that the bill had additional extra food added to the list we were asked to pay for that we never ordered, 4 chicken turning 5 on the bill, swallow for a person being 4-5 from just two ordered, and many others I can't remember as my colleagues scrutinised the bill, different irregularities in it which looked like a way to scam unsuspecting customers. I was really ashamed to have a foreign friend see this side of our country, where we know there's a corrupt system in many sector but even in just getting food?!!! You get scammed? This is one of my favorite chill spots at alagomeji yaba,..the first time I had their beef shawarma, I didn't even want to try out shawarma anywhere else cos, damn, it was soo meaty, every single bite had well spiced beef caressing your taste buds.. And their sweet strawberry cocktail 🍹 was simply the best I've had so far.. The only issue I had was their loud music, I could hardly hear what my friend was saying without us literally having to put our ears in each other's mouths, lol.
