Sycamore by Onebasket — Restaurant in Lagos State

So I was damn hungry this night, my first time in Magodo. I was just walking up and down the estate so I stumbled at Sycamore restaurant. I was like, "Wow, lovely place." I walked in smiling cuz of the cool ambience and soft background music (not knowing that that would be my last smile tonight). The first waiter welcomed me warmly and took my order. When I got the food, I saw cutleries already on the table (that I had no idea when they dropped it or if it was clean). So I was just looking at it and looking around to see if they're bringing a fresh one. Then came one rude staff. "Is anything wrong with the spoon?" I replied "No, I was just wondering if I'm supposed to use the ones on the table." Her next response response spoilt the whole experience. I heard "Ehh naw... " "Ahh!" She muttered and walked away, apparently irritated.

Ohh myyy goodness. I felt so disrespected. I Felt like literally throwing up. In a restaurant of this standard ?? How...

I had an amazing time having brunch here with my friend today! The food was really good, I loved the cosy ambience of the place and the service was fantastic too. Wait time for the food was about 20 minutes which wasn’t so bad except for the fact that we came really hungry, so we started with the mimosas, which were good but not very strong. I didn’t mind that cos I had a slight headache so wasn’t looking to get buzzed. The complimentary dessert of ice-cream & chocolate cake was unexpected and a very nice touch.

All in all, it was a good experience! I felt like I got really good value for my money cos I had a full meal and bottomless mimosas, all for 8k only! This deal is only on...

I had high hopes going in there but I was utterly disgusted.

First, there’s a huge contrast between photos available online and what’s on ground. Lighting’s poor.

Also, where I sat was dirty and not one of the very many waiters noticed all the while I was there.

I ordered a coke and a Long Island of which the coke brought to me was room temp and without a glass or ice. Long Island came before the coke and had a chocolate base. Who serves anything chocolate based without warning.

Just decided in that moment to leave bc it’s not worth it.
