Cantina Restaurant — Restaurant in Maitama

This is a feel at home more kind of a setting. I love that is has room for family and friends. Also, you can take your date there. Their food menu is spectacular and comes with a different flavour that bursts into your taste buds.

The chicken Quesadilla is to die for; a master piece in the making. And my favourite table waiter Sunday is awesome with specials and services. He doesn’t forever orders, instead he suggests more pleasant dishes to you.

Also had the chicken Bon Femme and a milkshake with Oreos to push it down and of course a lovely table water. My friend had the hot chicken wings in ketchup and jollof rice.

P.S: if you’re gunning for the jollof rice, it’s a new nice recipe, but not our very own Naija jollof rice; so good luck!

The rest room is quite pleasant too. There are flags of different countries hung up and they said it’s because of the ongoing Olympics.

You can decide to sit inside by the bar, or the extension or just enjoy the outdoor breeze, especially in the evenings. Owned by a South African and Located in the heart of Maitama, locating it is not a biggie, but not sufficient parking space. Another pleasant person to meet there is the car par security; a friendly human and ready to serve.

You can host your birthdays there and have your meetings there too. And if you’re too tired to go, there is room for everyone. I will certainly visit there soon, maybe this time, stay in one of the rooms to know how it works.

It’s easy to locate off farmers market Maitama and next to Maitama guest house.

I love the privacy. Yes it’s a busy spot but doesn’t affect your dinning for it has a spacious and neat dining areas both inside and out. It gives some type of Italian street side restaurant.

From the security offering parking space and conducting cars to staffs politely being of assistance to you on call and wait.

Meal prep time was as fast as time itself. After placing orders our starters and drinks came out immediately.

Warm bun bread rolls were offered complimentary with the finest of mini butter. Hot warm mozzarella sticks with a bit of garlic and fine herbs spices on it served with ranch dressing, also African spicy wings with sauce soft and crunchy. Caramel dream milkshake was filling and tasted great, also pineapple ginger cooler was sweet.

Dragon burger came in shortly with fries together with mashed potatoes and mama spicy pepper chicken. At this time our starters filled us as we grabbed a few bites off our main dish got take away packs for everything. Only our drinks got finished 😂

Mashed potatoes wasn’t creamy the way I’d like and spicy chicken wasn’t spicy at all instead was topped with tomato sauce and not really a fan of that. Other than that chicken was tender and entire meal was whole. Portion was great. Nice restaurant to visit they...

My friend and I went to Cantina. We ordered the Garden Veggie Pizaa with Chicken (because why will you order pizza without protein 😕) - Standard and we got the Margarita Pizza - Medium for free (MasterCard Pizza Week).

The garden veggie pizza was very good taste wise. I could taste everything - the peppers, sweet corn, the chicken. The sauce was very good, the chicken was cooked to perfection. It came together well. Unfortunately, it was burnt and the crust was almost black. On top of this, it was not cheesy at all. It was like they added scrapes of cheese for us 🥴. On the other hand, the Margarita pizza was not my best. It was a bit too bland for me (I love a lot of toppings in my pizza 😜).

We also got the pineapple juice. I guess it was chi exotic or something so nothing to talk about there.

The wait time was a lot longer than expected - we were told 20 minutes but we waited for more than 40 minutes. The waiter was very lackadaisical about the whole thing tbh which was irritating. He wasn’t providing us with updates and even when we called him to ask he was basically responding from far (instead of coming close to explain).

I’m very glad I got to try this. I will recommend the veggie garden...
