Shogan Restaurant Abuja — Restaurant in Maitama

Shogan Restaurant is an Asian restaurant located at the Sinclair Apartments in maitama, Abuja. It's an outdoor/indoor all you can eat restaurant and a really cosy one too. The ambience of the restaurant is quite good, probably not one of the best in terms of furnishing and decor but it's quite practical and comfortable which I'll appreciate any day, any time. The service is also very good. I would say the service is probably the best thing about the restaurant, followed by the food. The attendants were really polite and hospitable. I enjoyed asking questions of the menu and getting responses.

The food was also great. We had the Singaporean noodles and the Shrimps fried rice with some nice chicken sauce I can't remember the name now. I enjoyed every part of the meal. And the appetizer was really good. We had dumplings and this was my first time having dumplings and I almost did a take out, it was that good.

The drinks however weren't so great. My strawberry mojito was actually good but the strawberry Daiquiri tasted like water. We couldn't taste the alcohol or even the strawberry syrup. I thing some improvements could be done in that department.

The location is good but a little hidden. Don't get me wrong, I loved my experience at the shogan and I'm definitely visiting again.

Oooo where do I start? The overall experience was nothing short of premium quality.

THE FOOD I ordered the Chinese fried rice with stirred fried chicken and beef sauce, beef ramen soup, Thai chicken ramen soup, sweet and spicy Korean chicken and fried ice cream. It was absolutely amazing, the taste was excellent and portions were generous. I was skeptical about the soups but they turned out to be very nice. My only let down was the Korean chicken.... it was too sweet..... extremely sweet to the point of not being edible. But I’ll over look it.

THE LOCATION/AMBIENCE Beautiful location, was not difficult to find but it would be easier if there were a bold sign with the name. I didn’t see one. I was directed to sit outside because to sit inside you may need reservation. Sitting outside was fine too. The environment was clean, spacious and beautiful.... oooo and candles were lit too

SERVICE It was impeccable. The staff welcome us well, answered all our questions, provided us with the required and additional support. The tableware was beautiful. They were polite and attentive. The food came out on time, the table was also cleared timely. Service charge and VAT are exclusive from the price satiated on the menu.

Overall it’s a 5/5...

Well, it was a lovely evening/night and my friends and I decided to have a Chinese dinner at the popular Shogan restaurant by Sinclair. The staff were warm, pleasant and very welcoming. Shogan has a cozy atmosphere, very neat, and a minimalist art design. Loved every single detail to their chopsticks which we couldn't use by the way. Lol.We ordered two hot plate sauces for a Chicken Vegetable Schezuan..not sure I got that spelling correctly ... and their chicken Singapore noodles. The Singapore noodles was made in a hurry and so it didn't come out as expected but it was still tasty, This was my first time here, so I spoke calmly to the manager about this, when he came to ask if we were enjoying the dishes, and my friends also complained about it. Their meals always come with a complimentary green tea and the spring rolls is a 💯💯💯💯both prawn and chicken veggie spring rolls.

They apologised and after dinner we got their fried ice cream as a complimentary. It was so lovely, and the entire experience was...
