Vanilla Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Maitama

I will start with talking about the Waiter who attended to me. A pleasant being with a lovely charisma. His name is Philip. He wasn't only well tutored but he assimilated all he was taught hence it wasn’t a big deal helping me with a choice on what to eat being my first time in the restaurant. Now, I'd share few pointers about VANILLA RESTAURANT with you guys🥰. Super Awesome Ambience with Aesthetic to go with it.💯💯 Chandeliers lit up the restaurant and it felt like mini Heaven 🤭🤭 'I know I haven't been to Heaven but I dream of Heaven'🙄😏 and I felt I was in my dreamland literally.😌🥰 I must acknowledge that visiting this restaurant by late evening helped in getting them a 5 🌟 from me which is well deserved. 👏🏽 The Female Restroom is an ACTUAL PHOTO STUDIO!!!🤩🤩😍😍. I Couldn't stop clicking to get numerous shots and I did so shamelessly.🙈🙈 You know what they say about women and good lighting for Pictures? #Gofigure. 😄😄😄 I had Buffalo Bites for Starters. Before that was served, I got a plate of popcorn to snack on while I waited sipping the Daiquiri I got as my Cocktail. Buffalo Bites tasted really good and was almost filling me up before my meal got to me. Main meal was Vietnamese Rice with Jumbo Prawns properly marinated and grilled. The Complete Meal was a Hit! ♥️💯 I think I have almost used up my space here. So I'd stop by suggesting yoyu visit this Restaurant whenever you find yourself in Abijam. I would definitely be visiting AGAIN...

Vanilla Restaurant and lounge is possibly one of the best lounge and restaurant in Abuja. Vanilla is located along gana street in Maitama and the ambience is always very cosy, a class of its own. The theme and design of both the lounge and restaurant is actually different from most places in Abuja. The lounge is usually a fun place to visit at night, good music (The DJ has been amazing every single time I have been there), great service, the cocktails also really good and the last time we had a platter that had chicken, Shrimps, beef gizzard etc which was actually amazing but quite pricey and took some time getting ready. Yes, Vanilla has one of the best lounge and restaurant in Abuja with the female convenience probably the most Instagrammed restroom in Abuja but visiting on a busy night can be quite a daunting task, with parking spaces. On several occasions, I have had to take a cab to vanilla just because I don't want to be bothered by parking issues. But, overall if you want to have a nice time with loud music, Good food and great vibe, Vanilla is the place to be!

Terrible experience. A group of 13 made a reservation for 5:30pm at the restaurant. Our food was ordered ahead of time. However, none of the meals ordered was ready until 8PM.

The staff were extremely rude, unhelpful and standoffish. Due to the delay in getting the food, we decided to take pictures b . food was ready. The hostess accosted one of us and berated is for taking “too much pictures” because we were not the only patrons at the restaurant.

The food tasted mostly fine but the portions were dismal and the steak was medium rare instead of well done like we requested.

Everything we requested including ice took AGES. After our dinner, we requested that group pictures be taken of us and the staff was reluctant to assist us.

For an apparent upscale restaurant everything but the ambiance was a let down. From the hospitality to the food and the staff attitude to work.

Would 100% not visit Vanilla in the future.

PS- our dessert orders were not logged with the kitchen by our waiter and she went home without passing our order on. The place is ill-managed and...
