Buns & Batter — Restaurant in Port-Harcourt

Here we go!! So Buns and batter is a really beautiful restaurant located at the heart of the New GRA. Cozy Environment, really beautiful interiors. I love the natural feeling the leafy inhouse plant brings. It has like 3 sections, spacious but not for grand events.. just link ups, official meetings, book reviews (Met some group reviewing their book, really cool) etc. They played the "Happy birthday song" to a lil boy celebrating with his family.. we all sang along.. I love iT!! They serve you bread(buns)with butter(batter) I think just before your meal arrives.. I think that's where the name came from.. Anyway.. it's just a basic bread and butter, nothing different. For the meals.. it's quite Pricey, chicken and chips is as of today the 20th of june 2023, #4500 and it's just 3 pieces... drinks are expensive too.. they dont sell pack drinks like chivita but they have soft drinks like coke and fanta. Parking space is a bit of a trouble cos it's not much, 6,7 cars and its filled... you have to park somewhere else.. maybe opposite, still enough space over there. I love this place. From the cool ambiance to the friendly and professional staff, amazing. Aside from the long wait for food, it was perfect. I had to wait forty minutes for a plate of spaghetti and meatballs - while we waited, they gave us really fresh, hot and delicious mini breads with butter. Loved it! One part of the restaurants is for baked goods (bread and stuff), the other part is for meals and drinks. They don't sell swallow btw (Incase that's what you love). Soft jazz was playing in the background and it was soothing. They've got this really cute device that allows you ring for a server - so cool!. The meals were tasty and I've attached a menu so you can get an estimate of what you need (although my waitress did say that there's been a price update). Also, she recommended we play ludo while we waited for our meals and as we were on our third round of play, the food was brought in. Their burger is to die for -i mean it. Try it and then tell me...

I stopped by Buns and Batter for brunch on a Sunday and I was not disappointed.

The food prices are relative to some other locations if not just a little bit cheaper in my opinion. The restaurant wasn’t too busy when I arrived so the service was pretty fast. They had a buzzer device that you can use to call for service as opposed to just sitting and waiting or waving them down.

There is also a bakery when you walk in that has a nice selection of different types of breads and pastries at reasonable prices

The menu choices were fantastic- they had a little bit of everything from breakfast options to lunch, dinner, dessert and even some local delicacies like whole grilled fish.
