I can see why people like the place, but I wasn't a big fan. I was craving a breakfast sandwich, but what I thought was a breakfast sandwich, from the photos, was a special burger, with a fried egg and bacon. The double agent burger.
Overall, I dealt with the burger. It was okay. Bun was like those Hawaiian buns, very tasty, but a bit fragile. Meat was sus/interesting/dense/unfamiliar, but not exactly bad. Never had a burger with that taste and texture, but maybe it's standard somewhere. Maybe 7-11. Burger sauce was sweet and meh, like a thin fry sauce. I added chili sauce and mayo to it. That helped. It had processed American cheese (disgusting), although I know some people who don't have any epicuriosity prefer it. Bacon is thick cut, with good flavor. I prefer thin and crispy. I liked the fried onions. French fries were county fair quality. Meh, I left most of them. Husband ordered Jambalaya, which was a small bowl of jollof rice, kind of bland version, accompanied (on the side) with chopped chicken, hot dog and veggies, with cajun-ish flavor, and a side of American spicy sweet bbq chicken. It was a confusing combo, but edible. This counterfeit jambalaya was 8k!!! 😳 And my county fair quality burger and fries was 6k! The coffee (double cappuccino) was delicious! Space is quiet and clean. Nice workspace. Aestheticially pleasing space. Bartender/server was pleasant enough, but not well versed in customer service, contrary to their space next door, Sweettooth, where I was served with enthusiasm and warmth. I'm not sure if they're the same ownership, but I highly recommend moving that young man to the bar, at Corner Store, and adding a breakfast egg & cheese croissant to the menu, or other breakfast sandwich or wrap. I would go back for coffee and to use...
Read moreWell I think I’ve tried and lost money countlessly while giving you chances. A point to take home; when you make sauces/syrups/dishes yourselves, when you don’t have all the ingredients needed to make them, it’s better to state they are not available or let the customer know, rather than making it without the ingredients you need thereby creating a whole different taste entirely. Dishes in restaurants are usually distinct from the other and that’s what sets you aside from another. Taste is critical and unique to a place. It’s not the first time I’m requesting something and you present a totally different taste with the latter excuse of, you didn’t have all the ingredients. Why spoil the taste of the dish instead? I still have to pay for these mistakes. You should be critical and distinct with your taste as that’s what brings people around. Wish you...
