Location = 100% Very central to the heart of town. Ambience and Aesthetics = 60% It's not so big but it's simple and fine. I like how the colours were kept minimal and simple. Nothing extra with the plates and cutlery. Price = 50% I personally think that the food is quite pricey and the menu, a little too dismembered. Swallows have a different price section, soups have a different price section and proteins, a different price section. I found that odd. Menu = 100% It's a Calabar Kitchen and it does have quite a good number of meals from Southern Nigeria. Very impressive. Food = 60% I had Afang and Wheat... The Afang wasn't bad honestly but it wasn't great either, more like, I expected more because of the hype and name. The soup portion is/was generous! Wait Time = 100% About 20 minutes for food so fresh.... Staff = 95% Professional and courteous

The restaurant is located in a generally good location and very accessible. A very thoughtfully put together space and you can tell there is intentionality in how the seats are arranged. It is a typical Calabar restaurant where most meals come a la carte, so be prepared to imagine things as you wait for about 30 minutes for the meal to come (depending on what you ordered though) I ordered Banga soup and pounded yam. The soup was a bit salty for my Efik palate, but I guess this isn't the norm. My colleagues ordered Sea Food Okra and Vegetable soup, and had good reviews. I specifically asked that it be served bit too spicy and they obeyed that. Overall, it was a pleasant experience though I might be tempted to ask to taste my soul serving before I eat.

My 1st time here but I seriously doubt I'll be back. Food was a little above average, however the main issue was that it took over 45 mins to have peppersoup. 2 customers who came after us were served before us. I asked why and was told they had ordered before they got there. Maybe the particular waiter who served us was the issue. Also didnt like the fact that the bottled water we ordered was not any of the known brands. We had a bowl of catfish peppersoup,a bowl of hoat meat peppersoup, a plate of plantain porridge with fried fish, eba and afang with goat meat, 2 bottled water. Total cost for both of us came to a little over N22,000.

I recently had a takeout experience from this restaurant and would like to share my thoughts. Although I did not dine in, I was impressed by the atmosphere, which I would rate five stars.

I ordered the Edikaikong soup, which was quite tasty. However, I have some reservations regarding the pricing, particularly of the prawns. I was informed that each prawn would cost 3,500 Naira, leading me to expect jumbo-sized prawns in my soup. Based on this, I ordered two prawns, anticipating a significant addition to the Edikaikong soup for a total cost of 7,000 Naira.

To my disappointment, the prawns included were much smaller than expected. This was a disheartening aspect of my order, especially considering the price. While the soup itself was flavorful, I feel it’s important for potential customers to be aware of the size and cost of certain add-ons, like the prawns in this case.

In summary, the restaurant offers an excellent atmosphere and the Edikaikong soup was delicious, but the pricing for some items, such as the prawns, doesn’t seem to justify their size...

I am a regular at fuschia .I have been patronising fuschia for over 2yrs .but I think some of the staffs are not properly trained especially the newbies. The food is wonderful that's why I still patronise but its important you check your staffs as I have had to call on several occasions and my calls were ignored .at one occasion one staff when I threatened to see the owner bragged and told me nothing will happen as madam was out of the country.i had to angrily drive down myself and it was confirmed I called over 12times. I guess no body owned up and nothing happened as the staff had told me over the phone.on other occassion i had to walk out as no one came to attend to me after well over 20mins.if i as a regular could be treated in this manner what happens to some first timers. Please look into this and as there are so many...
