Galaxy Pizza — Restaurant in Wuse II

Always my go to Pizza spot, always fresh and delicious but I was very disappointed some months ago I was in town, ordered as always and my pepperoni pizza was made with hotdog slices, without letting me know pepperoni wasn’t available, I was so hungry and when I opened it the other half which was beef was ok and I took a slice and I called the waiter to complain, about the hotdogs and he was so nonchalant, he went back to the counter and just stood there for a while so I got up with the pizza and went over furious, no apologies, nothing everyone was just looking, someone maybe the manager, came over and I explained to him, again no apologies for the issue he just keep dismissing what I was saying and just asking what I want them to do, it was shocking, there I was thinking the staff were terrible at this and he was even worse. Not a usual attitude for a manager who is an expatriate. He then proceeded to offer other options but I only wanted pepperoni so I told, I had waited for the first pizza to be baked , I couldn’t wait but if there’s a store credit for next time It would be fine, he kept asking why I took a slice off the other half which was the beef, at that point it was clear all he cared about was the loss, not about retaining me as a customer, I only wanted a refund for the other half, keep in mind an apology would have sufficed but not a word, they just shove things at you without a care, it’s been two months I haven’t ordered from them and initially I order at least twice a week, but I guess they have more than enough customers, I left the whole box of pizza and walked out and not even a bother, it’s my most shocking experience at any restaurant in Abuja. I have been a customer for almost 8 Years and never had an issue with them, the first time I did, turned out shocking. I have met the owner a lot of times and he doesn’t joke around with his business, lately he’s not around as often, he would never have let that happen. I had heard so much about Galaxy Pizza from 3 of my daughters and nephew. They would rave and rave about this joint, and always juxtapose it to that other American multinational pizza chain with the 3 dots logo that franchises with ColdStone Creamery in Nigeria; saying that the latter couldn't 'hold a candle' to the former. This made me always want to try it, and I finally got the chance to do so this month. Though I'm not a crazy pizza fan, I eagerly anticipated trying the pizzas at Galaxy because they said there were really good. Entering the joint immediately put me in a good mood. The place was lit! 🤩 The decor was cool, hip and they had funky, retro-like memorabilia all over the place. It really brightened the restaurant, and gave it a very cheery and aesthetically pleasing ambiance. I absolutely adored it! 👍🏽The wooden chairs and tables were firm and sturdy. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. The menu was something special! It was a colorful and vibrant laminated affair, with bright, bold, glossy pictures of almost every food item.
