Possibly the worst restaurant I’ve been to in my entire existence and mind you I’ve been to some awful restaurants over the years. First the English breakfast is meant to come with fries and bacon for N4,000 only for the waiter to serve it over 2hours later and say that they don’t serve bacon and fries with English breakfast but it’s clearly on the menu. Secondly I asked for sunny side up very runny, described what I wanted to the chef and supervisor and boom the waiter brings over fired eggs with the dry yolk all over the place. I sent it back and the two further attempts were worse. They did not have tea for English breakfast @ past 10.00am on a Saturday and did not provide butter for an unusually dry toast. When asked their response is the butter they have is the big one and they can’t cut bits out of it to serve the customer. Furthermore the people at the bar were not around to serve freaking tea that typically goes with breakfast. I asked for freshly squeezed orange juice and was given processed juice from a box. Frustrated I offered to settle my bill for the two plates of incomplete English breakfast served then trouble started. The supervisor claimed that it’s not my fault or theirs but I had to pay the full price for an incomplete English breakfast that was not consumed. To add to it she had the effrontery to be rude to a paying customer trying to force the bill on me. Then I discovered that the shrimp roll which read 2,700 on the menu presented to us upstairs had been altered in the menu downstairs using a sticker. So I go through the other menu on the counter and find that it read 2,700 for shrimp roll on a few of them. I immediately asked her to change it back then she starts to argue that the price had been changed and I let her know that it’s the same menu that had chips and bacon, which customers had not been informed would not be served. I insisted and then she goes religious on me that the God she serves of living faith would judge me. Can you just believe that? I had been cheated, stressed, lied to and still paid for meals I didn’t consume yet I was to be punished by her living faith God for failing to accede to poor service and sharp practice of a restaurant. I do believe that It’s the same God we were taught about at church and he’s fair and seek justice for those unfairly treated which I am by the restaurant. My advice, the business needs a complete overhaul, retraining of staff and update of menu in which the prices and content of each menu is CLEARLY spelt out. My person opinion don’t ever go there until and unless there’s a change in how the place is run and the staff are adequately trained on business etiquette and customer relationship. Failure to do this would result in increased numbers of dissatisfied customers, possible law suit for deception and in the worst case failure of the business. If the option existed for negative stars this is definitely a...
Read moreGreat location!!! I love everything about this restaurant. It's located in the heart of town within a residential area yet it is very quiet and hidden. I guess the word I'm looking for here is PRIVACY. The menu is very well thought and attention is paid to a number of food allergies and diet preferences. The staff here are one of the most polite I have seen in the city of Abuja. Service was prompt and meals were really tasty. As for price point, it's not the cheapest but for the experience I had I would definitely be visiting again. For sitting arrangements, you have options of sitting indoors (downstairs or upstairs), there's a rooftop area which over looks the serene street (I totally recommend this), and there are also Arabian tents outside for a completely different feel and more privacy. The decorations indoors are very colourful and attractive and would make any picture or event come alive, while the rooftop area has minimal decorations with serenity being key (I would like to assume), and the tents outside are full blown Arabian tents with lanterns, cushions and all. I recommend everyone trys the mint lemonade, it...
Read moreFirst the good: the garlic bread was nice.
The great: the main course was delicious. We had grilled fish fillet and grilled salmon both came with mashed potatoes as a side… delicious!
The bad and ugly: food took 40-50 mins to arrive.
The waiter inserted himself in a private conversation we were having which was very rude.
He was smoking shisha on the side while serving us.
Another waiter was sitting directly opposite us smoking shisha and behaving uncouth… he came over to the side where we were and was conversing quite loudly in pidgin with someone who was three floors below.
Drinks was average at best
Had the ambience of a fine dining establishment with the staff from your local bukka. I guess this is what happens when you don’t invest in training your staff.
The desert was bleh…I’ve had plain Perdue at four guys and aldos and this looked and tasted like agege bread with vanilla ice...
