The atmosphere at Porfavor was great, and the wait staff were extreme helpful and attentive; however, some of the dishes left something to be desired. The yuca chips made for a pretty basic starter, but the salsa was quite tasteful. The chorizo was very authentic, albeit a bit fatty, and the meatballs were a bit dry, as were the mashed potatoes underneath. The beef and fries were a bit dry and under marinated and the mini-burger left something to be desired. The dagens fisk was well-cooked and spiced, and the spinach below was tasteful. The stand out dishes were the dagens empanada, which was fried to perfection, and the beef tartare, which had excellent texture and taste. The deserts were also excellent, both the cheesecake and the crème brûlée had great flavor and texture and the brûlée was perfectly flamed. Overall, the meal was middling, hence the three star review, but it was worth the visit. If we had accepted the guidance of the waiter, and had him select a tasting menu for us, perhaps our experience would have been better overall. Excellent food and wine. Problem was unfortunately the focus from the server. We ordered food but told him we wanted one course at the time. All 4 courses came at once and the meat was cold and had to be returned but came back almost as cold as it was and we didn't bother anymore. If meat was warm I would have given a top score for food. Empty bottles, empty Gin/Tonic glasses was on the table most of the time so causing problems to place the dinner trays. we had to ask for it to be removed. The place wasn't full either so there was plenty of time to focus on service. Tried Por Favor recently and honestly, it was fantastic. It’s got that perfect mix of casual and romantic—cozy enough for a date but laid-back enough to go with friends or a group.

We ordered the ciervo (venison), patatas bravas, and gambas al ajillo, and everything was delicious. The venison was super tender and flavorful, the patatas had just the right amount of heat, and the garlic shrimp was perfectly cooked.
