Matkvartalet — Restaurant in Hamar

Good foods as always, I have been here many time and the food is good. I have not had food at all the places but a lot of them. My favourite would be the Chinese because I really enjoyed their food. However there is something for everyone and they have takeout, the place is perfect for a group of people that might have different tastes. You order by phone which also makes it very easy to order and the place is quite nice to sit even when it's winter. As for price it's what you would expect for Norway really, depends where you buy and what you have of course, but it is Norway prices. This is however still one of my favourite places to go.

It’s a great place to eat outside, especially on hot days, and the various food is very tasty, BUT the portions were ridiculously small. I ordered the fresh tuna from the Hawaiian stall and couldn’t believe the size of my bowl. Far too little food considering the cost. The tapas food seems to offer the best value which my partner had, but her desert (Crème Catalan) wasn’t enough to feed a baby, and it was COLD. This desert should be served warm! Incredible local food court that offer a fabulous genuine butchers counter with fresh meats of the highest quality, cured meats as well as chilled and frozen meats. There is a great cheese counter, a wonderful selections of oils and dried foods, flours etc. The hot foods offered from the stalls in the courtyard is wonderful and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly.
