Arctic Ramen — Restaurant in Kongsberg

Sometimes you find great food in the most unexpected places. This place certainly is one of them. Good Ramen in a little place like Kongsberg run by a Czech couple? But of course!

We visited the place to and from a cabin vacation. Tried most of their ramen stocks( did not try the Vegan options). All the dishes was very flavour full and tasty. Perhaps a little bit to much salt for our taste. Home made noodles with perfect texture, perfect eggs and nice presentation. Great service and a very friendly proprietor/waitress. Their home made all-you-can-drink ice tea was also excellent and refreshing during the summer heat.

I traveled to Hammerfest just to see this place for myself. It was even better than expected. I learned they locally source, grow ingredients, and even make their own noodles. The ramen shop was small and cozy just like authentic ramen places I’ve been to in other countries. And the owners are a sweet young married couple who took a chance on their dream. I can’t recommend enough! Delicious ramen, large portion, friendly staff-owners (chef is the husband), and cozy beautiful warm inviting space. I hope to return as soon as possible. The cosy husband and wife-run fusion ramen restaurant opened with a bang, offering eclectic recipes and warm customer service. Everything is passionately made in-house, including the ramen and kimchi, with locally purchased ingredients.
