STICKS — Restaurant in Kristiansund

I went to Sticks Restaurant for a Sunday night sushi buffet, expecting to enjoy a nice, relaxing dinner. Instead, I felt like I had walked into a chaotic nightclub. The food? Fine, nothing extraordinary, but it was decent sushi. The problem? The atmosphere was absolutely unbearable.

The house music was blasted so loudly that I couldn't even hear myself think. It was like they were trying to create a club vibe, but it completely ruined the dining experience. To make things worse, other customers had to yell just to talk over the music, creating a ridiculously loud environment where you couldn't escape the noise.

Great place! My dad and I were not too sure where we wanted to eat in the small town. We ended up choosing for Sticks, which did not disappoint. The day we went there was a sunday. They had a buffet which they do not always have but it was great. There were close around 15 different sushi options and some side dishes. One thing that was a bit disappointing was that around 7 pm, the buffet was getting a bit empty and it did not get fully refilled because most people eat early in Norway. Both the sushi and the main courses were really good. We had some rolls, some nighiri’s and the chicken Katsu. Everything was really tasty and the waiters were nice. The restaurant is also nicely decorated. The only suggestion I would give is that there should have been a bit more rice in the chicken katsu, especially considering how much chicken there was.
