PhoHien — Restaurant in Lillestrøm

It was a late, cold autumn day when I visited this place. I think I arrived fairly close to their opening hour and was a bit nervous that I might be the only customer. However, it turned out there was only one table available, and there were many Asian clientele—a good sign. I felt both relieved and lucky.

Ordering food was done through a QR code on the table, which went smoothly. I ordered the beef pho, and the food arrived quite quickly.

The soul of pho is in the broth, and this one tasted decent, though a bit heavy on the MSG. The rice noodles had a good texture, and the meat was very tender. The portion size was generous. I appreciated that they served the bean sprouts and herbs on the side so that you could adjust the amount to your preference. 😌😌

First time i ever tasted Pho. The portions were massive! maybe 1 litre of soup per bowl and then all the fillings. At first i thought crab noodle soup tasted a bit bland...but that was until i started eating the pork, bloodpudding, tofu, crab meat balls, sausage. each of them exploding with flavour adding to the soup stocks flavour. This place deserves 5 star for taste. First time i ever had summer rolls i liked as well. Highly recommend PhoHien in Strømmen for your next meal!

Genuine Vietnamese. Local Vietnamese and other asian groups of people eat here. They do use a rather clumsy ordering system where you need to scan the QR code by the table, but then also follow this tidious registration process where you give away pretty much all your personal information.
