This restaurant changed management in June, and honestly, their reservation management is a complete mess! It was incredibly disappointing!

We were a group of 18 people and had made a group reservation over a month in advance—we even received an email confirmation. We stayed at the Eliassen Rorbuer for three nights and had reserved dinners at this restaurant for both the first and third nights.

However, on the first night, our group was seated separately in four different corners of the restaurant. Before we left that evening, we double-checked our reservation for the third night, and the staff assured us everything was in order.

But when we arrived on the third night, a different staff member told us the restaurant was fully booked and there was no reservation for our group of 18! In the end, it turned out their reservation system was faulty—the calendar clearly showed our group reservation for that night, but it didn’t appear on the day’s seating list.

As a result, our group had no table. The staff only suggested we eat at the neighboring food truck or come back at 9 PM—without even offering a single word of apology! It was...

Me and my friend wanted to try this place put as it had really good reviews and the menu looked interesting. Our waiter seemed friendly upon til we were seated at our table. Asked for recommendations on both food and wine. He had no recommendations beside "everything is good". Ordered the fish of the day and my friend ordered beef cheek penne. She received linguine.

Our waiter was not paying us any attention and forgot about us completely even with only 3 tables in the room. The most frustrating was that when we had to pay our bill the waiter was nowhere to be seen so we asked the kitchen staff if it was possible to pay. Soon the waiter was at our table. We then paid and noticed later we were overcharged from the prices that was mentioned in the menu. My fish was 20 nok more than it said and my friend paid 30 nok more than what menu said.

The waiter had mentioned there was a new menu but he never informed us about the new prices.

Overall the food was good and my fish was perfectly cooked, but the service was not top level. Food also came quick to our table! But expected more for...

I would NOT recommend visiting here. After reading the reviews I was very excited, but ended up being extremely disappointed. I had the seafood pasta - the seafood was good, however, the pasta sauce on the ‘fresh’ pasta (which was definitely out of a packet and not hand made) was so bad! It tasted exactly like Heinz tinned tomato soup - there was no seasoning or herbs, no olive oil or lemon, no garlic or salt! It was an extremely plain sweetened pre packaged pasta sauce - for almost £30 this is shocking! I sent it back, and was offered a free dessert or 30% off this dish only, despite leaving all of the pasta. This meant paying £20 for four prawns and four mussels. Apparently the chef tried it and said it should taste like that - bizarre. All it would have taken was sautéing some fresh cherry tomatoes with garlic and it would have been so much nicer. I also would have expected a replacement dish, not a pitiful 30% discount or free dessert! Really shocking. Was the worst meal we had in Lofoten. If you do go,...

Sat on the porch on a gorgeous day taking in a nice view. Excellent service. The Chablis was good and the food. Oh man the food. The stockfish arancini was very good. Served very warm so I’d suggest opening it and letting it cool for a bit. Served in three different sauces. The fish of the day was cod. It was served in a white butter sauce and a carrot puree. Wow. Unbelievable. I definitely believe you’d be making a mistake if you miss this restaurant while visiting Lofoten. Parking is a little limited but thankfully we found a place.
