We sat down and ordered two main courses. The black hair girl asked are we sure we don’t want any starters when we hand over the menu back. We said no. She took the menu and came back 2min later asking if we want anything to drink. We said no because we don’t want to take alcohol and drive back. She insisted and asked a second time if we want any soda in this case. At this point we started to feel uneasy but we still took it out of good intention There was a family gathering in the nearby area. The same girl walked past by and said something like “what a good family gathering, everyone is on their phone”. It is not us who were being judged but it made us feel very uncomfortable eating under the roof where you can possibly be judged by the waitress. When we were ready to pay the bill, the same girl charged us over 2000 Norway krone in the first place. We realized the number was completely off and asked to double confirm the price of the dish we ordered. Instead of checking the price the girl directly told us the price was correct until the other man came and took a look at their system. He then fixed the number and said sorry. The girl simply said “my fault. Thanks for noticing”. No apologies for potentially overcharging us for more than double the price. The food is fairly good but everything above...

Honestly this meal was the worst meal on our Norway trip - exorbitantly priced and pretty gross taste wise.. We went for lunch based on the high reviews. Maybe they just started doing lunch, because they open at 2pm for lunch, no one was there, and the lunch menu was limited (3 items: whale stew, fish soup and prawns) and this was not specified on the website. Each was priced at 365 nok and we ordered the fish soup and prawns. Prawns were teeny and pretty bland despite the chimichurri sauce, and small portion but at least edible. The fish soup was awful - a clear watery bland broth with some hacksawed pieces of fish, veg, rice, and tasted pretty fishy. I had to ask for some salsa to add to it to make it edible - he gave us some salsa macha which was quite like the ones I have had in Mexico, so this was the only part of the meal that was decent. I don’t really understand how their site claims this is true Mexican food - the food lacked the spice and flavor punch that makes Mexican food so great. This meal was so bad we almost warned the patrons coming in and we were leaving not to go (not normally somet hing is do). Maybe dinner is different but I’d run in the...

We were so excited to visit this restaurant since we were staying at Sakrisøy Rorbuer, which is where this restaurant is located, so we made reservations for opening night of the season. You can tell the staff is super kind and enthusiastic about running this place. It’s super cute inside and the main operator of the restaurant described the whole menu to us which was great! Our problem was with how overpriced everything was for what you got. It was 550 krone or $50 for 5 tiny tacos that were about 2 bites each. The pork tacos were super super good, definitely get those! The beef one was really over cooked and the fish taco was kind of bland. We ended up spending a total of 1220 krone for two of us and we were not full in the slightest. It also took 25 mins from when we sat ourselves to be brought menus and then another 30 mins after that for them to come back and take our orders, and then another 45 mins to get our food so just as an fyi, it does take a while. I don’t think I’d visit again but I will admit that it was refreshing to eat something besides a fish burger or fish and chips so this might be a nice change of pace compared to the other...

Overall quite disappointing- despite not having high expectations and being extremely hungry after a day with activities. Tacos were nice, had cod tongue and Baja. Unfortunately there is a lack of good quality seafood on the menu. Even catch of the day and ceviche was just pollock and shrimp. Would have loved to see a lot more quality seafood dishes - cod, halibut, etc. Because we’re in Lofoten we wanted seafood and after the tacos we went for salmon. Big mistake. I love salmon and eat fresh salmon twice a week. This was not good quality at all. I suspect something frozen, it is some of the worst I’ve had. They said it’s farmed salmon from somewhere in Bodø, but weren’t sure because ‘they just get it delivered’. And not even a hint of Mexican flavor, it was served with potatoes (French). Maybe my mistake, should have went for another main dish, probably the tacos all the way would have been better (accompanying salsas were also very nice, spicy). But then you end up at 900 kr in tacos person if you want to be full. And I’m not convinced that the ingredients here are what drives the prices. I don’t mind that it’s a bit pricy, but it has to reflect the quality.
