Tataki — Restaurant in Nordre Follo

My son was quite pleased with the food, but I have eaten far too much good Thai food to give this top score. The spring rolls were bland, and I strongly suspect they had been frozen. The red curry had an OK taste, but I was surprised to find slices of carrot. Not so surprised to find paprika, but there were some chunky and crispy cuts. There was even broccoli, but only the stem had some crispness left. I even managed to find one piece of long bean. I was unable to find any Thai basil leaves. The yellow curry my son had seemed to have mostly the same ingredients. There was rice with the curries, but I would have preferred Jasmine rice. Long time since I have seen 25 cl glass bottles of Coca Cola. Nice to see again, but a bit pricey at 48,-. Bottom line for me is OK. But too westernized to be anywhere near authentic Asian. But that is a giveaway when the disk is called “RED CURRY with coconut milk and vegetables”.

2025 update: The comments about the food are still the same. This time I had Kem Xoi for dessert, mango ,sticky rice and ice creme. Not so much mango, ice crystals in the ice creme and the stick rice was too...

We came here after finding out that a reservation to another restaurant hasn't been made. So we were angry and hungry. Even so, the food was incredibly delicious, so much so that our moods were uplifted at the first taste. The Pho was spicy, had plenty of meat and fresh garnishes. The crispy bbq chicken was to die for! Perfectly seasoned, super crunchy and so juicy. The curry and the spring rolls (sommereuller 2.0) (which I've only tasted) were very tasty, had a lot of fresh ingredients and were also quite nicely seasoned. The service was very nice and fast. The menu is a pleasant mix of all things good in asian cuisine plus a bit of fusion here and there. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice and cozy. The waitresses were attentive and very accommodating. However, the food was mediocre both in presentation and flavor.
