This charming place has got to be the most attractive lunch spot I have ever been to. We drove up from Lysaker and a beautiful, sunny autumn day and traffic was good. I was blown away by the view when we've arrived. The restaurant sits on a hill slopes overlooking the city and to the fjord beyond. On this chilly day, the sun was out and it was bright and a bit windy. The building looks like a large rustic hunting cabin. There is gigantic fireplace inside. We made out way to the dining room and there was an incredible spread of food waiting to be devoured. There were cold dishes, warm dishes, desserts and pastries as well as your choice of beverages. We did not know where to begin. At last, I decided to have the local meatballs with the traditional side dishes and a cup of hot chocolate. The food was delicious and I finished every morsel of it. They have indoors and outdoors seating. On a day like this, we just have to sit outside and enjoy nature at her best.

Amazing location at the top of a rise overlooking Oslo. We took the metro to the Frognerseteren stop and walked a few minutes to the restaurant (the path is well marked with signs). The Reinsdyr was tender and tasty and paired excellently with the pear, lingonberries, sprouts, and sauces. The Svin was even more delicious, perfectly cooked tenderloin medallions wrapped in cured ham and a tasty apple-ginger jam/sauce. The mashed potatoes were uniquely seasoned and some of the best I've ever had. Also pictured is the classic dessert, vanilla ice cream with a cocoa sauce that was very tasty. My one small complaint was that it took a long time for waiters to return to take dessert orders and to bring checks, though they had been very attentive prior to that during the meal. Overall, an amazing meal in a classy place with a beautiful view!

This is one of the must see, must come and should experience for anyone who like beautiful views, mountain lovers, especially outing activities, ski addicted. Take the T-bane number 1- Frognerseteren from Jernbanetorget. On the way up to the Mountain. You will feel like the rollercoster, two side of the T-bane are alot of deserved landscape. You can stop at some stations like Lilevann, Skogen, Voksenkollen and walk up, through the forests. There are some tours which will be instructed around the station. Also, from here you can take whole family with kids to Roseslottet, camfire, exhibition fourseason in one, skiing. Hope you love that.

View is unbeatable, food is insultingly bad! $26 for a couple potatoes, some of the worst lamb I've ever had, and frozen vegetables. Hell nah, bring your own lunch or snacks and just enjoy the lovely view. Super nice establishment, a shame the food is genuinely terrible. If you want traditional Norwegian food, you could probably find equal or better quality in the frozen meals section of the local grocery stores. According to the history of the establishment that I read in their cafeteria, it is "famous" for its apple cake. Sadly I did not get to try it as I dare not give this place any more of my money
