Nestled within a greenhouse, this restaurant seamlessly blends a farm-to-table concept in a delightful experience. The freshness of the ingredients, straight from the farm, ensures perfectly balanced flavors. The tomatoes were especially remarkable—fresh and juicy, unmatched in quality. This dining experience beautifully embodies the Norwegian ethos of connecting people with nature. For anyone visiting the Norsk Folkemuseum, a stop at Gartneriet is a great place to have lunch afterwards. Enjoying real, fresh food in such a nurturing setting is truly special, all in a no-nonsense way. Great job 👏🏻

A hidden paradise on Bygdøy island. The cafe is open only during weekends and only for a few hours. The menu is limited to several tapas-size dishes and one dessert choice, but everything is super delicious and worth trying. They use fresh ingredients produced locally at Kongesgården to prepare the meals. The service can be reaaaally slow, so make sure you that you have plenty of time and you are not very hungry when you get there :)

Cute place located in greenhouse with some outside seating. The plate with local cheeses from royal cows in the picture was 320 krones and was quite fulfilling for 2 people. But everything is in 4 pieces, so you can split between up to 4 people if you want just to try. I kinda wish the gardens around were more taken care of, more cultivated and therefore more lush — both in terms of flowers and vegetables.

Loved this place. The food, a buffet is delicious, all locally sourced from their own garden and the surroundings are beautiful. We could sit outside since it wasn’t raining. The service was a little bit slow just to order our drinks, however we were in a bit of a hurry as we had the guided tour at Oscarshall. I will definitely be back when I’m not in a hurry.

A cozy and good vibe restaurant at Bygdøy. I love getting just some coffee or a small brunch at this place after a stroll at Bygdøy. It's so fun to look at the garden, in-house pickels, and some chickens at this place. It has an open kitchen so you can also see chefs cooking the meal for you.

Eat Al fresco or in a grape bearing vine glass house. Teas, coffees food organic blueberry juice. Buy plants and top quality British gardening tools. Car parking available in a difficult area to find spaces only across the road from the Norwegian Folk Museum.
