Kafe Arkadia has a convenient location right by the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History and offers plenty of seating, making it an easy spot to stop by. The service was on the slow side but attentive once we were helped. The coffee was excellent, but the food didn’t quite deliver. The cinnamon bun was dry, the trout sandwich had far too much bread and very little trout, and the sausage dish looked like a hotdog in the menu picture but was served in a tiny tortilla. Despite the presentation, the flavor was actually quite good. Overall, a convenient café for coffee and a break, but the food could be improved.

Absolutely lovely service! Thank you for being so nice to us on my birthday! They accommodated all my allergy requests without complaints (unlike other places in Oslo where they were simply rude to special diet requests). Delicious soup made of peas and delicious fish salad for me (gluten-free). Very polite waiters and supervisor on the counter! It is by all means my best restaurant experience in Oslo!

Cozy cafe attached to the Norsk Folkemuseum, I loved all the natural wood. I went at the peak of lunchtime and there was a quick moving line and plenty of seating. I had the special, a tasty venison stew. Great flavor with lots of veggies and perfectly cooked meat! Came with a tasty bread roll. Gluten free chocolate cake was nutty and delicious. No complaints.

We ate here before going to the Folks museum. The line was very long so took us a while to get to the food. They don't have a menu, you just have to look at the food behind the glass when you get to the front of the line. Not much English on the info about the food. The sandwiches and salads were expensive so we got a ham and cheese bagel, bread with brown cheese and a waffle with brown cheese and jam. All the food we got was really good and we spent about 240 kr for 3 of us. Didn't fill us up but enough to spend a couple hours...
