O'Malley's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Muscat

It is a place to get an adult beverage in Muscat, which gets automatic 3 stars.

I really cannot find reason to rate it any higher. The wait staff was not a bit more friendly than the minimum needed...no greeting, the minimum of conversation to place my drink order, no friendly chit chat, and no "Thank you" when I paid my bill. I was never asked if I wanted to see a menu. They were attentive to asking me about another drink when mine got low.

The drink prices seemed reasonable...my cocktails were 1.924 OMR.

I visited on a Saturday night and found the atmosphere to be rather bland, some expats watching rugby and a few Omanis screwing up their trip to Paradise by imbibing some beer. No music was playing at all.

I suspect that I will give it another chance later this week, as it is near my hotel (which has no bar)...it is not as if I have tons of...

The pub is located in al khuwair and is a part of Radisson blue hotel. It is a great pub with good music , it is bit expensive for bachelor's but you can go there once in a while. Very nice environment and the crowd is also very good. Too many chicks in the night and you know for what, but you can dance and enjoy the night with them. I went on a Thursday night , the crowd starts coming after 9.30 10pm so it's better if you go late. The drinks and the food are expensive as said for bachelor's , a pint of beer is around 4 riyal. If you go once and want to drink well and dance hard and have a good night, atleast you'll have to spend 20...

Very unhappy and disappointed with the experience. I went to your bar yesterday with some friends, and after paying 5 rials for each person, I noticed that some people were entering without a stamp or bill because they were friends of the security guard. I also noticed that racism was present because even after ordering drinks and waiting for two hours, we weren't given anything. There are some Filipino or possibly Indonesian girls who receive excellent customer service, however your security officer is extremely nasty, untrained, and disrespectful.
