Turkish Diwan Restaurant — Restaurant in Muscat

I got in this resturant today after 7 P.M. ordered some starters, juices & grills, staters along with the hot bread were delcious, but the trouble started when my partner decided to cancell her juice due to weird taste & color...the supervisor made a big deal out of it & sarted to talk to me in an extremely rude way such as replying to me with (So you dont care if we throw the juice away)...ect.....then came the mixed grills which were coooooold ....I told one of the workers to make new mixed grills....he brought the same grills which were warmed....no new mixed grills were made at all & I asked the worker how it was warmed he replyed (on the grill).....I told him to call the person in charge of the grills ...he called the very same supervisor who again talked to me in an even more extreme rude way than before ...examples of his toxic replys (Do you want me to take a photo of how we warmed the grill) (You allready ate 2 skewers) ....At the end he slashef 30% of the total bill, but he didnt even bothet to apologize.

Conclusion ...I will never go back to...

Turkish Diwan Restaurant offered a refreshing change from the usual spicy 🌶️ food options. I visited with my family, and overall, the food was good—we’d be happy to return.

However, there were two disappointments worth mentioning. At the restaurant: Unlike other Turkish restaurants, no appetizers were served with the protein dishes. We ended up ordering two medium appetizer plates separately since we were a group of seven (you can see this in the second-to-last picture). Takeaway experience: This was the bigger letdown. Everything was packed into a single foam container, mixing all the items together (as shown in the last picture). This not only spoiled the presentation but also left a poor final impression.

So I am a die hard fan of Turkish cuisine. I have tried so many turkish restaurants in Oman but the essence of flavours & spices I have experienced here is an exception. Their hospitality is pleasant. The service is quick. I love their own twist of Greek Salad which is an amalgamation of fresh and pickled salad vegetables. Their soft fluffy freshly baked breads are so delicious.They make a deadly combination with their savoury mix platters. I just couldn't resist that. They also serve one of the best fresh grilled fish. And not to miss on the perfectly cooked soft tender juicy melting mix grilled. Its not over done like most of the places. You will never have a disappointing experience from this place. The place is crowded and busy. It's better you make reservation or check before going. I recommend this place...
