A Flavorful Journey Through North India at Chandni Chowk
I had the pleasure of dining at Chandni Chowk, a renowned North Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Muscat. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported to the bustling streets of Old Delhi, where aromas of spices and sizzling delicacies filled the air.
Chandni Chowk's ambiance strikes the perfect balance between traditional and modern, with vibrant decor and subtle nods to Indian culture. The welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Now, onto the main event: the food. Chandni Chowk's menu boasts an impressive array of authentic North Indian dishes, each prepared with precision and care. From fragrant biryanis to succulent kebabs, every bite is a testament to the chef's mastery of flavor.
One standout dish is the chicken chagezhi, a creamy and indulgent creation that's sure to delight even the most discerning palate. Pair it with fluffy naan bread or aromatic basmati rice for a match made in culinary heaven.
For vegetarians, the paneer palak is a must-try. The tender chunks of paneer are perfectly marinated and cooked in a rich, velvety palak sauce that's bursting with spices.
No meal at Chandni Chowk is complete without sampling their selection of decadent desserts. Whether it's the classic gulab jamun or the refreshing awadhi kheer, each sweet treat is the perfect ending to a memorable dining experience.
Overall, Chandni Chowk is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of North India. With its warm hospitality, exquisite cuisine, and inviting ambiance, it's no wonder this establishment has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. If you're in Muscat and craving authentic Indian fare, look no further than...
Read moreI used to be a rather regular customer of this restaurant. I used to go there even before it was renamed to Chandni Chowk. But don't let the name befool you. The menu and the taste is nowhere near the original Chandni Chowk in Delhi. I am from Delhi itself and I can tell the difference in both the quality and the taste. The taste is average. Before the inauguration, the taste used to be better. But it kept on degrading over time. The worst part is that they keep on changing the price every now and then. And when I tell them that the last time price was different, they start blaming me. There is a person here who claims to be from Delhi and tries to show it off everytime. But he is utterly disrespectful. He will lie to you on your face and start arguing at the drop of a hat. And if you can ignore this, let me tell you that the food quality is strictly average. The name Chandni Chowk is simply a trap to attract the crowd.

Read moreRecently I had visited Oman with family for a short trip. While chatting with friends one family recommended Chandni Chowk Restaurant in Al Khuwair for a get together for dinner. So we did. We were three families and started off with non veg mixed platter. It is yum. Everything cooked to perfection. We had butter nan which I must say one of the best so far. It is soft, fluffy with warm butter spread and served. With that we ordered chicken angara, prawns butter garlic. Guys I made a impression that of any recipes from this kitchen would be as deliciously cooked as chicken and prawn dishes we had. We concluded our meal with chicken dum biryani which is neither bland nor spicy. It suits all palates. Everyone had a hearty meal to everyone's content. If you are visiting Oman either from UAE or any other GCC country, this place is easily accessible with nice outdoor and indoor ambience with positive vibes. Keep...
