"Best onigiri I have eaten to date!" The onigiris were made to order, so you'll receive hot onigiris well wrapped with seaweed. We had to wait for quite a bit before we were seated but the staff were very polite & served us cold water. (Perfect for the hot weather). The queuing system was also very systematic, we were there at an off peak timing however there was still a Q, within about 20-30 mins we were seated. Not very sure for other outlets but this outlets was mainly bar seating so we are able to watch the chef prepare the onigiris on the spot! (anticipation ++!) I ordered onigiri no3. which is the salted roe and salmon. A few bites in and wow the saltiness of the salmon and roe is just perfect! Umami enough, even after finishing the onigiri the memory of the saltiness still remains, the rice proportion was good ratio to the other ingredients. It was so good that I could have ordered another onigiri but had to save my tummy for dinner. Will come by again if I'm back in Osaka!

We arrived around 12.30pm and had to wait an hour to get in, but the food was served quickly and we finished eating within 30 minutes. The onigiri here is larger than the average pre-packed ones like you’d find at convenience stores or other takeaway shops, but overall the taste wasn’t so amazing that it’s worth queueing an hour for. There’s a decent amount of filling inside but the onigiri still mostly consists of rice. Classic fillings like meat and fish tasted pretty good, but I tried pickled plum for the first time and I didn’t like it because it was crazy sour. You can customize your own onigiri but they have options you can readily select as well, which are much easier to get if you’re indecisive. For the pre-determined fillings, you can’t customize it any further (e.g. extra filling, etc). It’s probably also worth mentioning they don’t use gloves to prepare the onigiri, which I’m personally not fussed about but I know could be a dealbreaker for some.

What an amazing spot! This place serves up some very tasty onigiri. These seaweed-wrapped rice pockets are filled with just about anything you can think of. Salmon, tuna, pork, beef, egg, anything! From the first brush to your lips, the slightly salted seaweed rips easily to the bite, but holds together when handling the terrifically tasty triangles. Combine toppings to make a unique creation. Maybe yours will find its way to the top ten list! Service is great. We had to wait to get inside, but the staff were courteous and friendly when it was our turn to be seated. The bar seats only a dozen. Food is prepared right in front of you and everyone yells when patrons come or go. Fun times. There is also a record of the most onigiri eaten. For men, it’s 13! An even dozen for the ladies. Bring your appetite if you want to make the top three. Do yourself a favour and stop here to grab a quick bite. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious snack.
