Charming Snack Bar - Clifton Branch — Restaurant in Karachi Division

I tried Brain Masala after several years, with lots of expectations and apprehensions. For a long time, it always tasted the same, rich and fatty, wherever I try it... Today, it tasted better, to myself and to my son, I hope not just because of a time gap. We also ordered Raita and Green Salad, which were both served ahead of the main dish. A stupid idea then made our day! We asked for a Garlic Naan, which we dipped in Raita and Red Sauce and ate with different veggies... And we were not waiting for the brain masala any more. It was super, Alhamdo'Lillah! Guess what, we both had eaten one Naan each by the time the main dish arrived and we loved the deal! Imagine, a freshly baked naan, emitting steam in a summer night, dipped in the creamy Raita and eaten with shreds of onion. Subhan'Allah, that can hardly be described in words, so go and try yourself! The brain masala was grainy, as it ought to be, so rightly spiced, hot when served and garnished with garlic shreds and coriander leaves... It was not far from the studio photographed dish I saw on their website, which was a pleasant surprise. So, as good as the brain masala was, this new dip I discovered, was no less...

Extremely pathetic service and food! I was a regular customer here, but after this experience, never again.

I ordered Beef Bihari but they delivered Tikka after making me wait 1.5 hours. When I called to correct the order, they promised delivery in 20 minutes, but the rider showed up more than an hour later — and in the meantime, all their contact numbers were switched off!

Finally, the rider handed me raw Beef Bihari boti. After waiting 2 hours, I had no option but to eat the Tikka since they were not responding at all. To make it worse, the rider demanded extra cash for the Tikka, even though it was their mistake.

When I complained next day, instead of apologizing, they arrogantly told me that unless I pay for the Tikka, they would never deliver to my address again. Absolutely rude, unprofessional, and pathetic customer service!

What a wonderful traditional Pakistani restaurant located at the edge of Dehli Colony and facing Clifton. I went there to take along some food as takeaway meal. I was fed up with BBQ so i ordered their Chicken Special Shinwari Karahi and a brain masala. It took them 25 minutes for the order to be ready, but the wait was worth it. I also took along chapati and raita. It was a complete treat to eat. Specially the Karahi was from heaven, moderately oiled and perfectly seasoned with spices. A slight problem with their butchery, Karahi had tiny bones left in it. Brain masala was also sumptuous and creamy. This is a must try restaurant for anyone who loves traditional...
