Its best for adults who like to eat fresh home made food with hot chappatis and puris.
But if you are planning to take kids along, don't bother, waste of money.
Kids these days tend to eat more of junk food, and don't like Desi food
If we talk about per head, it costs around 1300/- per person (if you are dining in) and 1k for lunch (they offer discount on lunch), which is still more considering you can't eat all the dishes offered to you.
They cleverly first serve you with chana chat (as an appetizer) and chatni, pappar and dhokla, which is good for filling up a bit of your stomach, if you don't have huge appetite.
Then they fill in your Thali with 4 small portioned dishes (mostly meatless with one chicken gravy) along with 2 chutnies, one portion of rice and a bit of salad and chach (namkeen lassi), later on followed by meetha and chai.
The taste is very average, it's not a treat for those who like spicy food. There's definitely a room for improvement when it comes to taste.
What I liked is you don't have to wait for a long time until your food is prepared and served. Everything's served to you on your table with complimentary hand washing service. Everything is served in small quantities so that it doesn't get wasted.
What I didn't like is Thali shouldn't be made buffet, because one Thali can easily be sufficient for three people (even without refilling), taste could definitely be improved.
They should also introduce more Thali options such as South Indian thali, bbq Thali, and Pakistani thali.
Over all a nice experience, and worth trying out strictly for foodies, not recommended for people with low...
Read moreRajdhani Delights is an Indian Traditional place. We were looking for a place to have lunch with school friends. A place which is less crowded and quiet. One of our friends recommended Rajdhani delights. It is a great place as far as service and ambiance is concerned. The staff is very professional and it was welcoming. We were waiting for a friend coming from outside so we spent more time in ordering but they were patient and did not bother us. We started with lassi, meethi lassi tasted a bit sour to me , may be this is how they make it. A person helped us wash our hands before meal, which is our tradition. Finally the lunch arrived. I came to know that their menu is fixed and you will only get what they will offer on that day. It was a Saturday, so we were served Dai bara first. It was awesome! The lunch Thali had mixed veggies, daal, rajma, bhindi, palak paneer, a chicken dish, etc. served with salad, achaar, raita and lehsan ki chatni. Poori, roti and rice were also served. Shahi tukra was served as sweet dish. I personally liked their mixed veggies and daal. Rajma was okay but I did not like the other items. The sweet dish was also good. Honestly, we liked the place because it was peaceful and we could sit their as long as we wanted and had chat. I would recommend the owner not to have a fixed menu, the food is wasted like this. I don't know about others but out of 7/8 items I just ate 3/4. I would recommend this place, go and try it for yourself. It was crowded and people kept on coming and going which means it they are...
Read moreThis place had been on my list since long. I had first known about this place from a very reupted news television program. I guess BBC or DAWN. But for one reason or the other we could not make it. But today was our day. I asked my wife as we were nearby and fortunately we were in an agreement, rarest occasions 😋. As my younger slept in the car. We requested hotel owner to let us park our car near the table, so he sleeps with in. He agreed happily and as I pulled my car near. He offered us a cosy, warmer area for the sleeping child in this cold weather. He himself pushed couches to gather them in an arrangement that my son does not fall in his sleep. Everyone was very hospitable and warm. Infact owners family was sitting near us and they welcomed and greeted us with warmth and smile on their faces. Coming to the food, this was the best desi food we have ever experienced. From starters papar and dhokla to main courses it felt so tasteful and clean as at home. We loved main courses panir, chicken, daal, chana, allo ki bhaji with rice, roti and puri. And soji ka halwa in dessert was cherry on top. Enjoyed the masala karak chai at the end. It is a must try place. Infact I will be taking my kids here on regular basis beacuse they are not very meat lovers. They liked allo ki bhaji, desi foods and puri. Being a food lover and a professional dentist hygiene and food quality are no compromise for me. And I found everything in there thali buffet even halwa for my sweet tooth and...
