Loved the entire experience. From the beautiful decor to the comfortably plush seating (we choose to sit in the cubicles on the floor - there are also tables for those who prefer it) all the way to the courteous staff and of course the absolutely delicious food, everything was pretty great.
The seating was super comfortable. The carpets are super soft and plush, the pillows make for a very relaxed eating environment. You can literally chill out and enjoy your food.
We ordered the hummus for starters followed directly by the main course. The hummus was fantastic. One of the better ones in the city for sure. The chicken mandi was perfectly cooked; the rice so flavorful and the chicken so soft and succulent it was literally melting in the mouth.
The mint yogurt and the spicy tomato salsa/chutney were the perfect condiments to accompany the Mandi.
For dessert we had the signature Kunafe. Just YUM. I have no words to describe how good it was.
Though there were a variety of dishes and drinks on the menu we choose to stick to the very basics and boy am i glad we did. The food is absolutely filling but not overpowering or heavy. The rice in the mandi dish can be re-filled on demand if need be though we found the servings more than enough (but we are a family of 6 with modest appetites). So for us, 2 mandi dishes were more than enough (one dish is said to serve 2). We also just ordered and shared one serving of the dessert. Its yum but it is pretty heavy so you really cannot eat more than a couple of bites.
The value for money especially given the ambiance, the decor, and the flavor of the eatery is exceptional. Our total bill for 6 people was less than 4.5k.
Another point to note is the attention to cleanliness at the restaurant. Each cubile was lined with a plastic sheet sort of like a table runner for the food and plates to be kept on. It was very efficient to just wrap the sheet to catch any and all food spillage once we were done eating. As soon as we finished a very neat and clean server came and quickly cleaned up the place, replaced the table runner and presented us with the dessert not even 5 minutes after we ordered it though we were told it usually takes 10+ minutes for it to arrive.
Highly recommended - will certainly visit again( for the food and for the pictures) i was only able to take the pictures of the dessert because none of us could wait before we dove into the food - the fragrant smells were just that compelling. If nothing else that should tempt you into paying a visit.
For a newbie startup (it opened its doors to the public less than 10 days ago) the management has done a fantastic job. I hope they can keep it up in the future....
Read moreWe visited Mandi House (Tariq Road branch) for the first time with a group of 6 people. The place was busy and we had to wait around 30 minutes to get a table. So if you’re going during dinner hours, just expect a bit of a wait.
What We Ordered: • 1 Chicken Madbee • 1 Mutton Madbee • 2 Riz Ala Dajaj • 1 Kunafa
🍗 Chicken Madbee – Easily the best dish of the night. The chicken was soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The rice was perfectly spiced. Generous and satisfying.
🥩 Mutton Madbee – The mutton was tender and well-cooked, but the portion size was a bit small for the price.
🔥 Riz Ala Dajaj – Grilled chicken with mandi rice — tasty, filling, and a nice change from the regular mandi. Everyone at the table enjoyed it.
🍮 Kunafa – Just okay. Sweet and warm, but nothing special.
🍲 Complimentary Yakhni Soup – A great little perk! You can ask for yakhni soup as a starter, and they’ll serve it free. Light and warming — a nice beginning to the meal.
🍚 One-Time Rice Refill – Each mandi order comes with a free one-time refill of rice. The refill portion is small but useful if someone needs a little extra.

🏯 Ambience:
Traditional floor seating with dim lighting and Arabic decor gives a cozy, authentic feel. Great for families, casual hangouts, or even a desi take on a cultural food experience.
⸻
✅ What We Liked: • Flavorful and tender meat (especially chicken) • Complimentary yakhni soup • One-time rice refill • Grilled options were excellent • Cozy, cultural ambience
⚠️ What Could Be Better: • 30-minute wait during peak time • Mutton portion was small compared to price • Kunafa was average
💸 Total bill: Rs. 12,535 — reasonable for 6 people, considering the quality and variety of food.
⸻
Final Thoughts:
We had a great first experience overall. The food was flavorful, the meat was tender, and the little extras like yakhni soup and rice refill added value. Just go a bit early to avoid long waits, and if you’re choosing between chicken or mutton — the chicken wins.

Read moreThis was my first visit to this remarkable restaurant alongside a group of 9 friends. The interior is truly captivating, evoking a sense of being transported to an Arabian setting. Mandi House has devoted commendable effort in replicating the ambiance of Saudi Arabia's Mandi houses.
The seating options available encompass both carpeted areas and traditional table settings. We opted for the carpeted seating and although it was a Thursday night, we had to wait for approximately 30 minutes before being accommodated.
The staff exhibited exceptional courtesy throughout our experience, and the overall ambiance and environment were delightful.
An additional highlight was the offer of rice refills.
Now, moving on to the culinary aspect, we ordered 3 portions of Mutton Ribs and 1 portion of Mutton Madfoon, with Kunafa as our chosen dessert.
● Mutton Ribs: Taste = 10/10 The mutton ribs were exquisitely tender and delicious, and the rice was exceptionally flavorful. The portion priced at Rs. 3800 was substantial, serving three individuals comfortably, with the option of rice refills.
● Mutton Madfoon: Taste = 10/10 The mutton was incredibly tender and skillfully cooked, exuding its own distinct flavors. I savored an authentic Arabic taste in every bite. The rice served alongside were similarly delectable. If you are a fan of mutton, this dish is a must-try. We ordered a portion for two, priced at Rs. 4600.
● Kunafa: Taste = 7/10 Mandi House could further refine the preparation of the Kunafa. Priced at Rs. 850.
Overall rating: 9.9/10
😊: Taste, Ambiance, Environment, Service. 😕: Slightly elevated prices.
