In the middle of a very busy and crowded Fortress Stadium this branch of bundu khan is one of the oldest branches of this famous traditional food chain. Ambience as unusual is great and the staff is also very helpful. One of the best taste in traditional foods is there specialty. Their Behari kabab is really good and even the boneless handi was one of the best one can ever av. Parking is a problem especially on weekends. This place should be on every foody bucket list. π That was my 6 years ago review. And now.
Bundu Khan, Fortress Stadium: Hungry for Better Value βββ
Visited last night with family (we were five) hoping for that legendary Bundu Khan experience. Let's start with what worked β their Patiala Chicken still packs that delicious punch of flavors we've come to expect. The naan was well-made too, though charging Rs. 200 for a single piece feels like highway robbery!
The restaurant sits in the upscale Fortress Stadium area, so you'd expect a certain standard. While the surrounding area is nice enough, inside was a different story. Throughout our dinner, we had to deal with waiters constantly rushing around like it was a railway station. The noise level didn't help either β felt more like a busy cafeteria than a premium dining spot.
Now, about those portions... seriously, Bundu Khan? The servings were so tiny that our group of five left still hungry. We considered ordering more but with those prices? No thanks. It's like they're serving fine dining portions at premium prices but without the fine dining experience.
The bill was eye-watering considering we all went home ready for a second dinner. Sure, the food taste is there, but when you're paying top rupee, you expect more than just good flavor and tiny portions. The whole experience felt like they're coasting on their brand name while cutting corners on portions and service.
Maybe it was just an off day, but with so many great options in Lahore these days, this branch needs to step up its game. For now, it's a "think twice" rather than a "must-try" β unless you enjoy paying premium prices for sample-sized portions!
Pro tip: If you do visit, either bring a very light appetite or be prepared to stop for more food on the way home. And avoid peak hours unless you enjoy shouting over the clatter of plates and watching waiters play musical chairs...
Β Β Β Read moreI recently dined at Bandu Khan Restaurant and was extremely disappointed with my experience.
Staff and Service: The staff was ill-groomed and lacked basic manners. They had no respect for guests' privacy and kept disturbing us throughout our meal, which was highly unprofessional and intrusive. When we asked for assistance, they were rude and dismissive.
Comfort and Space: The seating was extremely uncomfortable, and the space was too tight, making it difficult to relax and enjoy our meal. The tables were cramped together, and it felt like we were dining in a crowded space.
Food and Beverages: The quality of the food was poor and did not meet our expectations. The dishes were bland and seemed to be prepared with low-quality ingredients. Furthermore, although we requested packed water, we were given an open bottle that appeared to have been refilled. This was very concerning and made us question the hygiene standards of the restaurant.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the restaurant was also subpar. The floors were sticky, and the tables were not properly cleaned between guests. The overall hygiene left much to be desired.
Environment: While the overall environment of the restaurant was pleasant, it was not enough to compensate for the numerous other issues we faced. The ambiance could have been enjoyable if the other aspects of the dining experience were up to par.
Value for Money: Given the poor service, uncomfortable seating, lack of privacy, and low-quality food, the restaurant is overpriced. The dining experience did not justify the cost at all.
Overall, the poor service, uncomfortable seating, lack of privacy, and low-quality food made for a very unpleasant dining experience. I would not recommend Bandu Khan...
Β Β Β Read moreFantastic Best taste Most delicious food Although, they are a little bit expansive, but still, Me and my family always prefer to visit Bundu khan whenever we visit fortress. Despite of many other options available in Fortress, we prefer Bundu khan due to their taste, management, environment and in-time service.
Management: Their management is polite and they request you very politely if you have to wait for empty seat. They always take care of queue and never prefer anyone on anyone else. Their management is very professional.
Environment: Very dim lights which make the place more attractive. Light background music which cover noises from other tables. Neat and clean tables and spoons, plates etc. Furniture is A one quality. Seats are quite open and you will not feel conjusted. Neat washrooms. Double portion so sitting is quite large. You may go with your family, friends, colleagues and will not complaint about sitting arrangements.
Food: Although, every food in their menu is delicious. But some of the items are best. You must try chicken raismi kabab, chicken seekh kabab, malai boti from bbq. Mutton boneless karahi, chicken boneless karahi, chicken handi and patyala karahi among karahis Their cheese naan is a must try. tasted like pizza :). I will recommend garlic or roghni naans with salans. Their paratha is not a typical paratha, its more like a poori. So, think before you try because i do not like poori personally :p Their shashlik is top among all menu. Give...
