HOUSE Coffee & Desserts (Cantonment) — Restaurant in Lahore Cantonment Tehsil

Well it’d a professional review and feedback.

First, the flavor coffees are really good. Mostly because of the machine. I don’t know if anyone else is using Strada. Closest are few chains that are using Eagle One. That said, the head barista has Dubai experience per his own words but the quality of the shots he pulled, thrice, were not balanced. Unfortunately, I’m not experienced enough myself to figure out what was wrong as there are a lot of variables in this craft but the acidity/sourness were off putting. Barista was courteous and honest enough to acknowledge the wrong and pulled the shots thrice, but unfortunately we couldn’t get it right. The temperature was 92, the roasts were medium to dark, and it was pulling 38-40 grams. The grind was finest it could get but there still was acidity. Finally, Barista offered a drink on house. I had flat latte it was okayish, too.

I still think they can calibrate and do the things right. I will visit again. They’ve very good machines — grinders, espressos, etc — to make everything right.

That said, we had beef sandwich which was alright. And pistachio croissant which was alright, too.

Finally, the ambience was okayish too. There were two wall units running at 16 but the temperature inside was ~30. The steel structure had no PU or any other insulation and the double glaze glass was not enough for the task. The floor standing unit was off.

Overall, if they can get their coffee right and improve the temperature thing, I guess this it’d be the best place for casual coffee and meetups.

They’ve really hard...

I order Sebastian Cheese Cake , Kunafa Chocolate dessert and Brookie, also caramel coffee. Sebastian cake was too much soure, more like lemon flavour. Kunafa dessert was a confusion as I couldn't get any definesd taste to Pistachios, which were minimum in amount as compared to what is shown in videos on their page, Chocolate on top and bottom was neutral in taste more like plane cream. Brrokie was suppose to be warmed but was served cold, also had no defined taste in it. Coffee was suppose to have caramel taste in it but had only coffee in it that too double shot, the need to upgrade their creamers for coffees. Ambiance was good but music was uncomfortably loud. Overall unsatisfied and don't recommend it. Maybe someone else would like it. I am sure owners would have put in alot of work in making such a wonderful facility, but at present it needs to re evaluate everything about it for...
