Detailed Review.

We have been munching Johnny & Jugnu for almost 3+ years now & I must say the quality is still the same. I am going to talk about this particular branch. It almost always serves the best food. Being honest I have never tried their Wehshi (Zinger) as I always order their Fillet or Wraps.

This time we ordered a fillet with atomic + chipotle , 2smol wraps and 2smol meals also their mint margaritas. The taste was amazing. Everything was fresh and sauces as always were really good. The mint was also good. It depends on the taste and acceptability of your buds.

Anyways the food was amazing. The one thing that I have always considered an issue is their NO DINE IN Policy. Specifically here, it is located in a market where you place your order and the staff brings your order to your car on a TAKE OUT basis. All food is packed means no returnables. You have to eat in your car or take the food home or anywhere else.

The parking is always full. This time I was waiting to park and the parking guard guy asked me to hold up the car on a specific part. I was waiting to park but he just let people who came later than me to park. All hell break loose when a driver wanted to leave and i was going to park at his spot he started blasting horn at me and I had to leave the parking entirely and if i left that completely i had to go around and enter again via the JJ delivery booth. Anyways I manage to come back to the parking area and had a heated argument with the parking assistant guard. He was like log order dyty han aur chaly jaty han bhr, i said man yahan pehli bar ni aya mujy pta ha kya kesy hota ha. Muj sy basd walon ko ap park krwa rahy ho muj sy kya masla ha. He didn’t answer. I managed to park on my on a little aggressively & no one pushed me.

I think this has become a part of Lahore. You have to become aggressive to get your rights. Otherwise people are going to consider you a soft person and would ignore you or step on you. This was a little disturbing for me.

The hype around this place is not worth it. The taste is above-average (good at best) but it does not live up to the hype; its a zinger after all and calling it wehshi does not really improve it. Purely for taste, this place could be given 4 stars out of 5. The taste is good but nothing exceptional.

The hype is created by the youth who is constantly rating and reviewing stuff online and making ordinary things seem extraordinary. This is a takeaway restaurant and you should bring your family along only if you all are comfortable eating within your car surrounded by the scores of college/university gals and lads. Typically, there is a queue at the ONLY order placing counter and another queue at the ONLY order receiving counter(-1 star for this reason). [They had COMPLETELY messed up a couple of orders while I was waiting for my turn at the ONLY order receiving counter (-1 star for this reason)]. They do take orders on phone for both of their Johar Town and DHA branch (which slightly solves the problem of waiting time in the ONLY order placing queue) but you still have to get in that queue to pay for that phone order to get the receipt, which would allow you to get in the second queue to receive your order. So, if you love standing in queues, then, this is the place for you. The management also really doesn't bother about managing the queue, whoever reaches the counter first, by whatever means, gets served first.

Overall, this place is mainly suited to the 18-25 age group who cannot dare dislike something that is in vogue but can wait more than half hour for burger/wrap that only tastes above-average (good at best). However, this herd mentality of theirs has elevated Johnny & Jugnu to these heights where it is considered amongst the top 5 burger joints in Lahore, with out either having a great taste or really caring for...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Johnny & Jugnu since they first opened their small outlet in DHA, and for years, their quality and taste were unbeatable. Sadly, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I’m not writing this after just one bad day—I’ve tried their food multiple times over the past year, and not once have I been satisfied. The food is nowhere near the standard it used to be. I ordered the Smol Wrap, and it was dry, tasteless, and honestly, felt like eating plain tortilla with bland chicken pieces. Completely ruined. I get that prices have gone up due to inflation, but that doesn’t justify sacrificing quality. Sadly, it feels like they’ve raised prices without maintaining the taste or experience. I also tried the Wehsi Burger, and it was a greasy mess—soggy and lacking any crispiness. To top it off, the Chipotle Atomic sauce combination, which I’ve always loved for its bold flavor and spice, was completely off. It was no longer the punchy, flavorful sauce I remember—it tasted like some generic, ordinary sauce instead. Definitely not what it used to be. I also got the Nugg Wrap, and once again, it was dry and flavorless. The only thing that was even remotely decent were the Rami Wings, which were the only part of my order that didn’t disappoint. This is the only picture I could take of the Smol Wrap because the rest of the food was shared with guests, and I didn’t feel right taking pictures of their plates. At this point, I honestly can’t recommend anyone order from Johnny & Jugnu anymore, and I certainly won’t be ordering again. It’s frustrating to see a brand that once had such a strong reputation fall so far from its standards just because it gained some market presence. Really sad to see how much...
