Ordered the following: 1 CHICKEN CASHEWNUT 750 1 KUNG PAO CHICKEN 650 2 CHICKEN CHILLI DRY 1100 1 CHICKEN MANCHURIAN 550 2 CHICKEN CHOW MEIN 800 1 CHICKEN FRIED RICE 300 1 CHICKEN DUMPLINGS 450 (Paid a total of 4850 including delivery. I did give a tip to the rider but that was separate.)
I was ordering a delivery. Service was very prompt and the order was taken via WhatsApp and I called to ask for a few details over the phone. The bykea rider was very inefficient and took 45 minutes to deliver the order although it was a 10 minute ride. He was unable to understand directions or find the location.
The food was very mediocre. The egg fried rice had no salt and tasted like unsalted pulao with cloves and bay leaves in it, not usually not found in egg feed or any Chinese rice. The chicken chilli dry was ok. The chow mein tasted like maggi noodles. Over salted and clumpy in texture, not much like chow mein. The chicken cashew, Manchurian, and the king pao tasted just ok, but the chicken pieces were chewy and a little hard. The children really liked the chicken dumplings and said they were better than most places.
They gave huge servings of the rice. I might try and removed the whole spices from it tomorrow so that it can be eaten, otherwise I don’t see the family eating it again and it will be wasted sadly. Will we order from here again? Probably not. I was just trying it out as I had heard good things and the reviews gave a higher rating for the G9 location than the I8 location. If we do ever order, it will only be for the dumplings. The only thing was that this was a lot of rice and items in under 5000. But definitely not even worth that amount. Maybe it is better if eaten at the location. Quite disappointed and won’t trust reviews again. I’ve had the occasional Chinese from food carts or trucks at events. It has been a lot...
Read moreDe Hunza Sizzle is a fantastic street food spot that may not have a fancy location, but it definitely makes up for it with delicious offerings. The setup features a kitchen with limited seating on the footpath, but most patrons opt to enjoy their meals in the comfort of their cars, thanks to ample parking space available.
The highlight of their menu is undoubtedly their manto; they are masters at preparing both chicken and beef manto, which are sold by the dozen. People love them not only for their fantastic taste but also for their incredibly reasonable prices and generous portions. Additionally, they offer a good variety of Chinese chow mein that complements the menu well.
While the cooking style may not be strictly authentic, their unique flavor profile, with minimal spices, is simply outstanding. Each serving is always generous, making it a great value for money. I strongly recommend giving De Hunza Sizzle a try; you won’t be...
Read moreSuch a disappointing experience with Hunza Sizzle. I ordered lunch for my colleagues, and despite the manager assuring me it would be delivered on time, it was completely mishandled. Fifteen minutes before the promised time, I called to confirm, and the manager said the rider had just left and would arrive in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later, there was still no sign of the delivery, and my calls and messages went unanswered — the manager even started rejecting my calls. After repeatedly requesting the rider’s number, I finally received it 14 minutes later. When I contacted the rider, he casually said he would take another 15 minutes to arrive.
The whole attitude felt as if they were doing me a favor rather than providing a service I paid for. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing — I will never order...
