I visited Towcheen for the first time on 12th January 2025 with my friends. What made this visit even more interesting was that one of my friends is from Chitral, but even he wasn't satisfied with the service and food. Overall, our experience wasn’t great. The service was extremely slow, and the food was overpriced. We ordered soup, but it was watery and lacked the consistency of a proper soup. To make things worse, we felt misled because their Instagram page showed that mandi was priced at 480 PKR, but in reality, it was 650 PKR. They charged us 180 PKR for a single bottle of mineral water, and half a naan was priced at around 70 PKR. The food overall was quite ordinary and tasteless, though the mutton makhni karahi was decent. So, if you’re considering visiting this place because of ads you’ve seen on social media, I’d recommend saving your money and opting for someplace more affordable. Lastly, we had to wait far too long for the food, and the management was not efficient at all. To make matters worse, we had made a reservation through the Towcheen website, but when we arrived, they claimed no reservation had...

Towcheen Restaurant presents a visually appealing rooftop ambiance in G9 Markaz, Islamabad, with modern décor and well-trained, cooperative staff that immediately set a welcoming tone. However, while the setting promises a memorable dining experience, both the menu and pricing fall short.
I ordered the Chicken Manchurian paired with fried rice—a dish that, despite its potential, is ultimately disappointed. The portion was notably overpriced compared to similar offerings in the local market. The Chicken Manchurian was rather underwhelming, neither delivering the robust, savory flavors expected nor justifying its premium price tag. Likewise, the fried rice suffered from a dry texture and a lack of sufficient seasoning to complement the main dish.
In summary, despite the restaurant’s attractive rooftop setting and attentive service, Towcheen Restaurant struggles to impress with its food. For those seeking a satisfying blend of taste and value in Islamabad, the quest for a truly memorable dining experience...
Read moreI visited Toucheen restaurant after seeing rave reviews, particularly from food vloggers who raved about the 'Chitrali girl making people crazy with her food.' Here's my honest take:
Location and Ambiance The restaurant's location gets extremely crowded during peak hours, and climbing four flights of stairs doesn't help. However, the ambiance inside is pleasant and commendable.
Food Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. I inquired about their signature Kavi Rukh (Chitrali Sobat), but the waiter warned me it might be too bland for my taste. I ordered Mandi, fried wings, Chicken Chilli Dry with rice, and Behari Boti instead.
Chicken Mandi: Average, with slightly flavorful rice and chicken. Fried Wings: Tasteless, with a coating that felt like just flour and cornstarch. Behari Boti: Average taste. Chicken Chilli Dry: Literally dry; the chef took the word "dry" too seriously.
Overall Experience Given the hype, I was disappointed. The food didn't live up to the expectations, and I wouldn't...
