Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience at Royal Tabaq. The black chicken karahi and black chicken BBQ kebabs tasted like they were made from old or even dead chickens. If you sit outside, you’ll occasionally get whiffs of a foul smell coming from the washrooms. The so-called “decorative” napkins on the tables are the same ones they use to wrap bread when serving — dusty, full of old crumbs, and just unhygienic. The building itself is in a state of decay. Meanwhile, the owner either sits idly waiting for customers or spends his time chatting with friends or smoking at empty tables instead of making any effort to improve the food, service, or overall environment.
I'm sure the chicken they use isn't even washed considering the unhygienic environment there. Please don't embarrass yourself or your guests going to this place. Save yourself from embarrassment and wasting money. Go to bismillah in their neighborhood instead - they're far better in every way. Royal tabaq has under aged cooks who are still learning how to wash themselves up. Oh and they won't reply to your messages if you try contacting on the number...
Read moreWe visited Royal Tabaq on a weekday morning to try their breakfast deals. Since it was a weekday, the restaurant was almost empty, and perhaps because of that, the AC wasn’t turned on — instead, we were accommodated with a pedestal fan.
We ordered two deals:
Deal 1 - Halwa Puri Deal – The halwa was good, channay were tasty, but the aalo bhujia was disappointing.
Deal 3 - Nihari Deal – The nihari was flavorful, and the naans were fresh and soft, making it a satisfying choice.
Positives:
Food quality was overall good for the price tag.
Halwa puri and nihari stood out as highlights.
Negatives:
The aalo bhujia wasn’t up to the mark.
They don’t accept cards. Payment has to be made via cash, Easypaisa, or JazzCash.
Atmosphere wasn’t very lush, but decent enough for the value.
Service was okay — nothing extraordinary, but nothing to complain about either.
Final Verdict: A decent budget-friendly spot for breakfast. If you go, try the halwa...
