Sugoi Caribbean Sushi - Condado del Rey — Restaurant in Ancón

Recently, we had a get together with college friends at Sugoi Centennial. This place embraces multiple and great characteristics. They are great indoor and outdoor dinning ambients, enjoyable background music, affordable prices, and super duper friendly staff. We had varied dishes, such as the Japanese Pizza, El Camalero, Japanese Nachos, and some other dishes. Everything was extremely yummy-licious (yummy yummy and delicious) The top notch of our dining experience were multi diverse factors. For instance, the 2x1 Sangrias, the amazing service of Luisana, the visit of the Manager Yomar, and the celebration of several birthdays parties within the restaurant. In summary, this place is highly recommended, so every time I come to Panama, it will be my favorite foodie and booze spot By the way, at the end Yomar showed up to our table with a souvenir: it’s a picture to keep our little get together as a memory of our old college...

I absolutely love Sugoi. It seems they did a bit of a rebrand, as the franchise used to be called “Tsugoi” but they dropped the “T” and adopted a more Caribbean-influenced vibe.

I used to visit the El Cangrejo location, which I loved. This new location is closer to me, and was fabulous. The restaurant is a bit smaller, but very modern and bright. The pizza japonesa is absolutely fabulous. The attention by the waiter staff is top notch, which is not common in Panama. When we ask for water, they specifically ask whether we want ice or not, which just shows their attention to detail.

The sushi was absolutely top-notch. Every piece was expertly crafted, with the freshest fish imaginable. The variety was impressive, with everything from traditional nigiri to creative rolls that were both visually stunning and packed with flavor. The tuna and salmon were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the signature rolls were a perfect balance of textures and tastes.
